Buffalo was expecting 2 feet of snow, over 3 feet in some places. On the flip side they've got the plows, snow blowers, and shovels to get it clear for a football game in 12 hours. I don't know if Knoxville has enough plows to get the roads clear.Didn’t they postponed a playoff game in Buffalo? That’s gotta be bad!
I remember a snow storm worse than this back on a Monday in '80 or '81 when Kentucky came to play at Stokely. The Cats were ranked around 2 or 3 if I remember correctly. Howard Wood hit a baseline jumper late for a 49-47 Big Orange victory. I recall John Ward describing Howard's free throw..........."Wood........good!" "Tickled the twine.......Or at least postponed, due to weather?
I could be wrong, but this snow isn't going anywhere with temps in single digits on Tuesday.
This storm is just ramping up. We won’t know until midnight tonight what we received accumulation-wise. Nearly all models are saying 8-12 or so.I remember a snow storm worse than this back on a Monday in '80 or '81 when Kentucky came to play at Stokely.
