His quickness and his feet reminded me a lot of AK. I’m really excited to see where he can go this season . I would love to see us breakout in a 2 back set occasionally. We finally have the depth and the speed to create some real matchup problems with Wright and Sampson on the field at the same time.

I love this group of running backs, like how they work together, all contribute significantly and bring a different style to the table. But the first time I saw Sampson play I thought, wow, this kid has a different gear. If we can get him in space, he’s got the break away speed and quickness to take it to the house on any given play. Sounds like he has a good perspective and a good head on his shoulders.

Not only is Kamara his favorite player, Sampson actually patterns his style of play due to watching film of AK. Also he wore #24 last season and changed to #6 this season, the # AK wore while playing at UT.

The best may be yet to come in this case and as mentioned above, Wright and Sampson on the field together has potential. AK lines up in the slot quite often. Go Vols !!!

Heck, with our three headed monster, put in a wishbone package. Worst case result is that we probably force the DC to call a timeout as probably none of his players have ever even seen that set 😂

That would be awesome to come out in goal line situation in a wishbone. Heupel might do it. No one saw us running an offset I with Fant on a Fullback dive vs Bama.

The thing I really like about Sampson and indeed our entire RB crew is they seem to really get it. By it I mean the game only has so many offensive plays called of that only so many plays the RB gets the ball and out of those plays each RB only gets so many touches. So you as a player need to understand you have to do the absolute most at UT when thery give you the rock. Sampson scoring 4 TDs is an example of that, he's trying to score each play and the rest of the RBs seem to be playing with that same sense of urgency. They get it.
