I have. It is far more dangerous than it was a few short years ago.. I had the hotel concierge tell me to NOT turn right going out of the hotel because it is a dangerous area. 5 star hotel. broad daylight. needles and **** on the streets.Sounds like you've spent a lot of time there.
There are several places that I've never visited that I have now crossed off the list due to crime and chaos. Others I've visited but wouldn't go back to. It is hard telling yourself, you may be in harms way and don't expect law enforcement to be there for you.
San Francisco/Oakland
Minneapolis/St Paul
New York City
Seattle
Chicago
St Louis
Los Angeles
I'm sure there are a few I'm leaving out.

I've spent a good deal of time in all of these places aside from MN.
I'm going to just go out on a limb and say you either have zero spacial awareness, or are a fearful, little man.
Shocking that a city that elects the adopted son of Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn as District Attorney is having crime problems....You get what you vote for. Democrats are totally in charge of that city & state. They won't no law & order.
If you like seeing people poop & pee on the streets & take drugs out in the open ... SF is your place to live.
It all depends where you goI have. It is far more dangerous than it was a few short years ago.. I had the hotel concierge tell me to NOT turn right going out of the hotel because it is a dangerous area. 5 star hotel. broad daylight. needles and **** on the streets.

I work in one of the most pandemic affected industries there is, so you don't need to tell me anything about that.
I don't see what this has to do with you being scared of city streets.
I am a hole in the wall kind of restaurant guy. Since I eat out so much, spending a lot on food is not a great option anyway. That being said I haven't been there in awhile. The last place I remember eating was an out of the way Mexican place. I was the only gringo in there. A bunch of local workers. Spectacular stuff.Every big city has bad areas.
What's your favorite restaurant in the area?
