It's a nice place to visit for a long weekend every few years but couldn't live there.

I’ve been there dozens of times and I don’t even like to visit. Too crowded, too loud. The biggest FU is when you sit for hours on the tarmac waiting to leave. I’ve never had longer delays anywhere than summertime at LGA. Think longest was five hours on the tarmac.

I thought this was kind of funny to watch. Four men each make a very half assed attempt to help this cop being choked out. They can't be bothered to set their **** down or actually do anything remoting approaching force. But it's SF so they probably think they are basically murdering him.

Flying in/out of LGA or JFK sucks! Last couple times I flew into EWR and even with the hassle of getting to the city from there I thought it was better. But it's been a couple years.

I work in one of the most pandemic affected industries there is, so you don't need to tell me anything about that.

I don't see what this has to do with you being scared of city streets.
Your right, every city has places that you just don’t stroll down the streets... every city.

You won't sit 5 hours ever again. They fine the crap out of the airlines if you sit more than 3. I remember the good old days before when you could sit for hours and hours though. THey would have 3 lines with 40 or so airplanes waiting for takeoff out of JFK. A friend told me once when he was flying to Kiev (I think) which was Delta 88. They were in line with their engines shut down to save fuel... ground control called them and the conversation went something like this: "Delta 88?" "Go ahead" "Delta 88, we just wanted to let you know that you are number 88 in line for takeoff. Have a great night" "Roger"

Guess I’m glad I don’t fly much. Going to Dallas then to Lubbock wasn’t bad though. They sure are mask nazi’s though. Flight attendant Scared the crap out of the window seat lady who fell asleep and her mask came off her ear. Legit yelled at her. Ok, I admit, she made me jump too.

Good to know. It has been 10+ years ago since I regularly flew in and out of NYC. I do remember one time they shared what number we were for take off and I thought I heard it wrong. I don’t remember what the number was but I remember it was a BIG number and I thought we wouldn’t be leaving until midnight. We waited for hours and hours.

I (hopefully) did my last NY flight ever in January.

We used to get to ride up front. I doubt that even with 30 years of seniority I will ever get up there again.
I worked at the same place for over 35 years and when I walked out the door I never turned around to look back at it. Over three years later I am pleased as can be! When I started working I was as pleased as could be with my employer and slowly, year by year they took the joy out of work and replaced it with misrary and disdain. Flying used to be that way too.
