Sara Puckett's interview after VT game. Wow!

I’m probably most thankful that they’re playing this way without Burrell and Suarez. Those ladies being injured would shake a lot of team, but the LVs seem to have adjusted well and they are growing in confidence with every game. This game was exactly what they needed in a hostile environment.

I don't think I've ever witnessed a better post-gamer by a freshman. It's easy to see how this team is able to come together at crunch time with selfless, all-in players like this making up the roster. Kellie really is doing an excellent job bringing in the kind of players who genuinely want to do their best for each other.

I absolutely love Sara’s game and vibe. She gets it. Stay positive and do what is best for the team.

Very impressive young Lady Vol, on and off the court. Onward and upward.

She reminds me of Dane Bradshaw ... made the most of his ability with his basketball intelligence. Right now, she is 'out smarting' the opposition.
This is not a comment on her skill and talent that is under development! I am excited on what changes we will see after the off season conditioning is done!
Way to go Sara!!!!

As someone else said - love Sara’s game and vibe. What a great teammate! Here’s what her development coach had to say about her on another forum:

“Sara Puckett has been trained by me since 2nd grade til present. I played basketball at Clemson and 14 years professionally in Europe. You all cannot imagine what I have put her through to develop. She is still not showing what she is capable of. She can take over a game and will do so once she gets more confidence from her teammates. Right now, she is filling in and playing her role. I know her time is coming and she will be one of the all time great Vol players before it's over. Go Lady Vols”

And this in another response to someone:

“It’s all her. I am only the messenger. This is why we should never be negative towards a coach because development happens in 3 ways. The parent get you to the coach. The coach teaches you and the player must respond. Sara listens and she will do everything that's asked of her because she knows that her development depends on her. You must listen first. So proud of her for listening.”

The future is bright! Go Lady Vols! 🧡

I am open to what others think, but I believe Sara's performance against VT was the best performance by a freshman (in a big game vs a quality opponent) since Pat's days. I can't remember a freshman impacting the game the way Sara did since Bashara Graves. I'm not including games where we have played a cupcake school. VT started the season ranked and quite honestly still should be so I consider them a top 25 team.

Jordan Reynolds had a game against Kentucky in the SEC tournament her freshman year that was comparable to Sara's performance, but I can't think of many others since Bashara. Thoughts?

I like the 'look of Kellie' reminds me of Pat in these ways ... she's likable, thoughtful, players listen to her, she is not afraid of giving the referees are earful (apparently very 'respectfully' most of the time), funny, warm, and she knows how to make egg salad out of a re-tooled lineup after a few major injury issues. Take us deep in the dance, Kellie!

Rennia Davis in the SEC tourney against Auburn and hits the game winner i believe

16 pts, 2-2 from 3pt, 5 rb, in 40 min

coincidentally, Rennias team also played a Liberty Univ team that featured our now very own Keyen Green. I also believe that was the last time we hosted the first two rounds of the NCAA tourney

Seeing all our fans there and the loud atmosphere keyen and the liberty team faced made her choose UT when coach offered her from the portal when she was leaning to go to Texas

I’m like everyone else and would love to point another out.

But I won’t lol. You’re definitely not wrong. It was a great performance and I look forward to seeing more.
