Sarah Huckabee-Sanders Asked to Leave Restaurant

I think it’s a great workaround.

You want a cake with two guys on it? Did you vote for Hillary? Sorry folks I don’t bake cakes for Democrats.

It's an interesting observation. I suppose I can refuse to bake a cake for a couple because I don't like one of them or because they wore a Bernie shirt to my bakery.

I don't understand it. If I owned a restaurant, I would welcome anyone who wanted to spend their time and money in my establishment (even 1972 grad and squints :) )... Now, having said that, her dad called it 'bigotry' and maybe it is but what about Trump's own intolerance of those who do not share his opinions? He expresses that all the time. I have never heard Mike Huckabee do anything but defend Trump even when Trump was calling the neo-nazi's in Charlottesville 'mostly good people'.

more whataboutism? :)

Other than illegal immigrants, who has Trump asked to leave America?

Have you forgotten that in December of 2015, Donald Trump read the following statement:

"Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what the hell is going on,"

The above statement from Trump made no reference at all to illegal entry or even to Muslims migrating to the United States from countries who had sponsored terrorism. He simply singled out Muslims (followers of the religion of Islam). How is that not bigotry? Did Mike Huckabee defend it? Yes, he did, on Fox News.

So many different angles here.

When a business owner hangs out a shingle I think they should focus on business not ideals.

I also think if they feel strongly about something that shouldn’t be ignored, they have their own morals and values

This, from Sanders stated view, just sounds petty. Hopefully the restaurant did it discreetly. Still shouldn’t have happened.

Also Sanders shouldn’t be shocked by it in the current environment. Doesn’t make it ok. But she knows what she’s in for. And frankly I think she should have tried to shrug it off and just move on.

Wtf is Red Hen?

Wtf is Red Hen?

She goes out and tells baldfaced lies for Trump on a daily basis. Her sense of moral outrage should be pretty tempered at this point.

She’s just doing her job. But she also knows how divided the country is and emotions are high and should expect some conflict. Again hope it was done discretely.

And again wtf is Red Hen?!

Her job is to not knowingly lie. There are times you can see on her face that she's really conflicted and uncomfortable saying obviously false things. She should quit and save what little is left of her credibility, which is close to zero at this point.

There are liberals who believe people they disagree with should lose their jobs, be harassed at their homes, and be denied food

A politician's primary job is to lie. If they don't, they don't get re-elected. This extends to all their support personnel. This includes Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama and now Trump. I guess I just don't understand party tribalism.

Actually I think her credibility is soaring. I think she has a lot more composure than Spicy. She’s in a difficult situation and she handles it well. Her job is to get the president’s message out. And she does that. You guys are just pissed that she won’t lose her cool and give you a sound bite.

Predictions on what comes next in this story?

Red Hen restaurant given some awards by people on the left
Red Hen restaurant boycotted by people on the right.
People claim the SCOTUS just allowed this type of behavior with cake case.
You forgot Red Hen gets firebombed.

Are you sure you want to use the word "credibility"? Maybe her popularity is rising with Republicans, but not her credibility.

I just imagine the uproar and CNN coverage when a Democrat gets asked to leave. When that happens, the establishment will get labeled racist, sexist, intolerable, etc. The left refuses to admit their own hypocrisy even when it slaps them in the face.

Ding ding ding! We have a winner.

A politician lies. But a person whose job it is to brief the press should not lie. It is a key aspect of the job and the profession. She should refuse to lie.

But that ship has sailed.

So to paraphrase the statement you provided, "Hold up until we get our **** together."

What you're calling bigotry, I'd call common sense. Admittedly, I didn't follow that whole thing at the time so I don't know what all was said, but with what you provided, I'm not seeing a problem. Doesn't sound like a permanent ban, just a time out for us to figure out a better way to vet people wanting to enter the U.S. Not all Muslims are terrorists, but most terrorists are Muslim. Would you disagree with that statement?

No I’ll stick with credibility. Not on content of the message, that’s not hers to decide. On the manner in which she conducts herself in doing her job. I would say professionalism but you, LG, et al would just scoff and make flippant comments so I didn’t say that... I just inferred it like you guys do so often. 😬
