Sarah Huckabee-Sanders Asked to Leave Restaurant

You guys look like such idiots arguing about which side manufactures more outrage and lies and who has the less trustworthy sources. It's like a race to see who sucks the least, but you both lose.

When you accept that we have two primitive tribes - R's and D's - out chucking spears at each other to cover up the fact that neither has anything real to offer, then you start to understand the whole political dump we are in. The process is so toxic that only an utterly narcissistic fool without any intellect would want to run for office, and boy are they delivering on what their "capabilities" offer.

But don't get too far ahead of yourself. The libertarian concept may have some useful things to add, but the libertarian candidates to date have been nothing more than useful idiots themselves. Most would be outed in a debate with second graders.

This didn’t sound anything like the example he gave. She was asked to leave and left. She didn’t pull any kind of card.

Also, what’s the personal gain?
Well, Schaub has had a hard for Trump since before the inauguration. He was appointed by Obama.

Sometimes you have to wonder if the journalism was more honest at all or if there were simply fewer means of seeing and hearing what's going on. For example, Walter Cronkite was sage and honest ... until we later we found out he wasn't.

I think it was easier for media to be authoritative back then because there were fewer lines of communication and they were better controlled, so looking and sounding on top of things did much in the way of containing the message. Now the media (and there's a lot more of them) are more into being the news and making the news ... with a lot of shrieking and wailing, and looking pretty juvenile in the process.

I'm not saying that there aren't a few honest journalists out there but I believe that the mythical unbiased with integrity journalist is just that, a myth. There is probably more access and better reporting than ever in history. You're just not going to find much of it with legacy media.

I saw what happened to Starbucks, and they just refused the bathroom to a couple of loitering black folks who refused to buy anything. They weren't even paying customers.

Yeah, and I thought that was wrong. Starbucks should have stood their ground. Now, having said that, it's not practical to ignore this country's history of excluding blacks from public places simply due to their race. It was even sanctioned by our Supreme Court in Plessy v. Ferguson under "separate but equal"... though blacks were rarely given an option of equal quality in anything. It is intellectually dishonest to avoid this country's history of state sponsored prejudice against blacks when discussing these issues.

You have those that offer a service and those that are customers for that service. In this case, there is outrage about the person that offers a service refusing that service to another over political differences. This seems to be an outrage to some. Yet, when the shoe is on the other foot and it is the customers seeming to not do business with someone that offers a service because of political differences, the very people that were outraged by this owners actions have no issue with customers boycotting NFL games...

Seems to me the sanctimonious outrage is a bipartisan problem. Personally, I don't agree with Ben and Jerry's political philosophies, but I still buy their stuff. If I had to line up lock and step with every actor, musician or athlete, I wouldn't be able to watch anything on TV or enjoy any concert or enjoy any sports.

People (on both the right and the left) need to get over themselves and learn how to deal with people they may not agree with in a more civil manner.

People aren't going to be seen as equals as long as we maintain artificial barriers. For example, protected classes and the continual flaunting of diversity. Forcing someone to accept something or someone isn't the same as leading (and, thereby, allowing) someone to accept "different". Reverse discrimination and forced "tolerance" are in the end no different and no better than discrimination and intolerance.

Believing that people of one ideology can push and force people of the other ideology to accept their beliefs is the height of insanity.

Who is ignoring it?
It just needs to be applied equally......either the private business owner has the choice of who they serve or they do not........his/her decision would determine the success of the business.......and people thinking about opening a business would know what the law is and be able to make their own decision whether or not to even open.....

Identity politics will be what destroys us. When you start trying to appeal to people based on their differences (the color of their skin, who they have sex with, where they come from, how much money they have, etc.), and then try to exploit it, you create even bigger differences. Differences divide.

Absolutely. The lib motto is "Diversity through perversity", and they don't have the slightest clue that diversity and division derive from the same root word.

I concur. I would also add that Sarah Huckabee Sanders looks a little sensitive here. Her feelings were hurt and she went public with it. She didn't have to do that. She could have just kept this to herself, eaten somewhere else and gone about her life. She knows damn well the owner of the Red Hen (in Virginia) did nothing illegal. Why whine about it? Republicans love to call liberals "snowflakes" but to paraphrase Trump; "There are many snowflakes on both sides... on both sides."
wow

You are a moron if you think this is limited to Trump. All politicians exploit the divisions.

Yep, because none of our wonderful politicians have anything else to offer. DC is a stagnant wasteland that sucks intelligence from human beings in case anyone did manage to arrive there with anything substantive to offer - however doubtful that is after being groomed by the two party political process.

You do realize that she isn't the one that originally went to social media to break this story, right? It was a member of the waitstaff that did it.
