Satellite Camps- Where will we go?

We need to pray they cancel satellite camps cause Nashville would have several SEC teams come. Right now we have it on almost on lock down.

Agreed, the Nashville area is just going to keep getting better and better every year in regards to recruiting. It's a boom city and it's starting to payoff.

As far as a SC.... Tidewater all day.

Nothing within a 5 hour drive from Knoxville will hold a camp.

The coaches will want to focus the players in that radius to make the effort to get to the on campus events.

So with that in mind:

1: Dallas or Houston (Huge potential and now that it is SEC country we need to focus on it more)
2: Central or South Florida (We've had some success there in the past, this could rekindle that flame)
3: Maryland/VA/DC area (Tons of talent here and we are closest SEC school, could dominate. Could get some Philly and NJ kids to this one)
4:LA (Why not? So much talent we find one top end recruit who we wouldn't have otherwise it would be money well spent)
5:Ohio (Can attract Michigan, Indiana, PA and Ohio kids and this is the home of how these camps got started)

Ruomor is FHSAA is against the SC and could vote to block them instate.

Mostly SoFla coaches from the gossip.

ok somebody correct me if i am wrong but i am pretty sure UT/jones doesn't host the camp. i thought these were basically juco or DII schools hosting camps that ask a coach to be a coach at the event. in this case how is the school wasting resources except for our coaches time?

The biggest resource for the University of Tennessee Football Program right now is Coach Butch Jones' time.

Agreed. I dont like this whole concept of satellite camps, but if you're going anywhere Atlanta
is the place to be. Its the path of least resistance, Butch has signed 4/4 and then 7 in this year's
class, thats just going to keep expanding.

But bottom line is, I dont think any of us want Saban or Gus or Richt holding a camp in Nashville.

Let them have camps there, and let Urban and Harbuagh come too.

You can only sign so many, and we would also have a camp there.

1) Charlotte,NC. The city itself has great talent. And its a gateway city to both Carolinas. It's just far away enough to make Tennessee a cool pick. Realistically, its a not too long BEAUTIFUL drive to make during game weekends.

2) Valdosta, GA. Gateway city for both Georgia and Florida. Kids could compete from ATL , Mobile, Orlando, Tallahassee and even Tampa. And even Chattanooga...

3) Louisville, KY. Great proximity to Indianapolis, Cincinnati and St. Louis. All cities that have very good football talent. And Louisville itself has some good high school football

4) Washington DC. Maryland, New Jersey, and Virginia (richmond, tidewater areas) could all be show cased.

5) Jackson, TN. Nashville and Memphis athletes competing for "best city" in Tenn. State pride camp and the backbone for our Volunteer football.

We never have to cross the Mississippi River for recruiting to win championships at UT.

Between the states of Georgia, Tennessee, and the Carolinas alone there is enough talent to compete for championships...

Michigan is doing one at Oakland that I think I am sending my son to.
I hate to support it but its cheap and for the dollar he will get some pretty solid coaching.
