I just moved back to Fort Walton, Sadly I only have the choice between Cox, Direct TV & Dish. I really don't know much about any of the three or what there internet is like. Any help would be appreciated. Hoping all 3 have the SEC network come fall👌😁

I had direct for a while but I kinda live in the mountains so it cut out a whole lot. The final straw was when it cut out during the UT vs UF game a few years ago. I lit those *******s up until they let me out of my contract. Any time it stormed it would cut out for like half an hour at a time.

This. I'm not a big fan of dish when it comes to weather related. Switched to Comcast a couple years back and love it. Their customer service could use some work but fortunately I don't have to deal with them too often.

:dunno: you don't have to buy both

Thought maybe you found a different provider for the internet. Fiber isn't available for us yet, so we'd also have to keep the Comcast account for our internet as nothing else comes close.

I have fios internet and beefed up the speeds to handle anything we used. Save a bit of money every month and really don't miss anything. Takes a little while to get used to but we just aren't big tv watchers (outside of children's shows)

Same here. It helps that I can use my mom's Charter log-in for watchESPN and HBOGo but I guess there are ways around that if I didnt have it.

For example, this MovieBox app on my Jailbroken iPad is a winner but can be slow to buffer at times, otherwise I might drop Netflix.

(Plus, Netflix knocks kid content out of the park)

I'm waiting for HBO to offer the subscription service without cable. Netflix is great but they lost Yo Gabba Gabba which sucks at my house. Thankfully I found some

Direct TV is very good.

Apply some Rain-X to the dish and it will stop the going out in bad weather that satellite tv is known for.

I don't think its too far off before HBO starts offering internet only subscriptions. Hopefully they upload the shows when they air instead of a day later.

Netflix still has plenty of Thomas the Train so we are good. :)

Never heard that before gramps. Only issue I have had is in the snow. But will give this a shot. Just the spray on kind for windshields?
