Save the current staff of course, when do we have all former coaches paid off?

I think he was saying that because we would've received money for going/winning a bowl game.

Rude...

Didn't translate that way to me but if that was his intention then it's not a well researched response. Bowl games don't gaurantee income for a school escpecially with smaller bowls like the one we would have gone to.

3 more years?? That sucks we are still paying that moron. He should be paying us for giving him the privilege of coaching at UT.

His buyout was 5m if I'm not mistaken.

Don't we save some cash on his buyout because he was able to find employment?

No, the way the contract was written for CDD he can go earn as much money as he wants working anywhere and we still have to pay him the entire $5 Million regardless.

I have no idea what Mike "the Moron" Hamilton signed a contract like that.

3 more years to pay off CDD is what it'll take.

The newly signed coaching staffs are getting alot more Money so we'll have to get our finances together if we want to keep this staff of great recruiters to rebuild our talent and depth over the next 3 or 4 years.

I can't think of his name, sorry...the coach that left Boise State and went to Washington is getting $6 Million per year as his starting salry on his 1st contract.

At least that's what I heard on TV somewhere today or yesterday.

It's to the point already that a "fair" position coach that's a great recruiter will get paid alot more for his recruiting abolities even though he's only a "fair" position coach because recruiting top talent is just that important nowdays.

Chris Peterson?

$18 million over 5 years, $3.6 million per year.

There almost should be a stipulation in a contract that says a coach's buyout should be directly related to how they affected a program.

My sweet wife brought up this theory, what if Dooley was hired by Hamilton to screw up Tennessee football for years in Ga's favor?Son of former Ga.coach and long time athletic director.May be too far left field;but, who really knows. What with his(Dooley's)actions toward high school coaches/recruits et.?Just her thoughts. She has been indoctrinated into Big Orange love/life.

Actually he was saying he wished we had made a bowl game so people like yourself would have the bowl game to talk about instead of making threads about random things with misleading titles

The school has to pay travel expenses for the team, staff and band. Cost over a million dollars to travel. Smaller bowls don't pay that much.

And yes the bowl proceeds are shared after expenses are paid.

But, collectively.. Every school shares profits, no'one is going in the hole, for years people were calling for Vandy's head because they were collecting money for others achievements. And the only reason they were kept in the SEC was because they made our Acadimic standards higher..

I have thought precisely the same thing on many occasions. Seems perfectly orchestrated.

My understanding is that all bills current and future should be covered once Obamacare is finally up and running. Coverage for hemorrhaging like this can no longer be denied as a pre-existing condition.
