Save the current staff, when will debts be paid?

I'll keep hoping to hit the lotto so I can personally pay Dooley his money!

Not sure about CDD but the other coaches are paid the difference in there current jobs. For example: if salvanilla makes less a LB coach at FSU, than DC at UT, then UT pays the difference for the duration of his contract. Jay Graham left on his own accord, so we don't owe him jack sheet!

Luckily most coaches such as Cheney and Sam Pittman have found work elsewhere.

If DD had an ounce of integrity or self respect, he would not accept the bailout for what he did here! :banghead2:

Cheney and Dooley's payout was guaranteed no matter what jobs they got. the others were not

lw what are ur thoughts on this past season?

I thought they would go 5-7 (predicted that on VolQuest) but I thought they would lose USC and split November to get there.

I think it was unfortunate that Worley got hurt because he was just starting to feel comfortable with the new offense and become more familiar with the WRs. He played well versus UGA and USC.

If he had not gotten hurt I think we could have challenged Missouri much more and definitely would have beaten Vanderbilt. So could have been 1 or 2 wins better and in a bowl game.

I think staff did about as well as they could with the experience and talent level they had to play with.

Following is how many Freshman and Walk-ons played in each game. Many of these were in the 2 deep so winning 5 with this number is really pretty well

Peay 29 of 70 players
W KY 28 of 66 players
Ore 28 of 65 players
Fla 21 of 54 players
S Ala 21 of 56 players
UGA 20 of 53 players
USC 21 of 57 Players
Bama 25 of 63 Players
Miss 23 of 60 players
Aub 23 of 57 players
Vandy 21 of 54 players
UK 17 of 50 players

Way too many of those type players to win in this conference..

I knew it was bad, but those participation numbers are absolutely insane.

Dooley got an extra year because MH gave him an extension for making a bowl game his first year.

My sweet wife brought up this theory, what if Dooley was hired by Hamilton to screw up Tennessee football for years in Ga's favor?Son of former Ga.coach and long time athletic director.May be too far left field;but, who really knows. What with his(Dooley's)actions toward high school coaches/recruits et.?Just her thoughts. She has been indoctrinated into Big Orange love/life.

Did she co-author a Kennedy conspiracy book too?

Don't forget about Gonzo. He may or may not be here. Has the team at least competing lately.

Even if UT was considering firing Cuonzo it'd behoove them to keep him around until just after his 3rd year(the end of this current season), making his buyout only $1.56 million.
Like you said though they're 6-2 overall so far this season so that's decent thus far.

I'd prefer no UT coaches be in the news negatively the next few years AT LEAST though.
