I believe that I own my seat from my feet to the Heavens and I have told a many of people behind me just that but standing the entire game regardless of your surroundings is past the line.

Sit down

The fan support was great this year. CBJ certainly made a huge impact on attendence and atmosphere!

Next year we have to win to keep that mo Jo going.

He did. Much like recruiting the program has to take the next step to sustain that.

We ll see how the goes.

You're in 21. I know where you sit.

:neener2:

I never really see the areas other than the people right in front of me. We have mostly the same people we see every game. Some stand, some don't. I've never heard anybody complain. There are two ladies who have to be in their late 70's. They are there every single game, no matter how hot, no matter how cold. I don't know how they do it. But I hope I'm still able to go when I get to be that age.

Come say hi sometime!

It was my six year old daughters first game and my wife bought her two shakers. She used to be a Georgia fan because of the in-laws, but has fully converted! So proud!

It was pretty loud on some third downs, but I know it can get louder!

Acceptable to stand up when defense on the field and after offense makes a big play to cheer. Don't be an ass and stand entire time while offense is on the field and during timeouts, etc. Common courtesy. Is it that hard to figure out?

Some folks aren't physically able to stand the whole time. If you're standing the whole time just because you think that it actually will influence what happens on the field & refuse to sit for any reason, that makes you:
1. Delusional
2. An inconsiderate/selfish horse's rear-end

Be kind to our elderly & physically infirm fans. They've been around long enough to see UT football when it was great. Courtesy, respect, and common sense will get you far in life.

Jeez some people really just don't need to be at the game. Before the 2004 Florida game, I had an old-timer behind me offer me $20 to not stand up the entire game. I politely declined, and then proceeded to stand and yell until I was horse for most of the game (only stood at appropriate times, but that whole game was appropriate lol).

In hindsight, I wish I had taken the bill, ripped it in two, and tossed it back at him. He really has become a bit of a grumpy old dick over the past few years.

Oh, you're cool.

Georgia game this year was unreal! Haven't seen Neyland that loud in a long time especially when the block punt occurred. Looking back at it now that would have been such a huge win.

It was nice.

One of the loudest times I've seen Neyland was the '92 Florida Downpour game.
1st- I've never seen it rain that much that fast. Water was waist deep around the drains in the turf on the sidelines.
2nd- Back then, they didn't stop the game & send fans to shelter for lightning, and it was really bad that game. The lightning would flash & the thunder shook the stadium. The fans got louder with every occurrence. Not very smart probably, but it was pretty stout. Of course handing Florida a beatdown in the middle of it helped.

It was nice to be in a section where everyone stood the whole entire time and yelled their ass off. Really had a lot of fun (although I should have had more clothes on underneath -- it was really cold if you only had one or two layers on).

Have you ever thought about why you would want to stand from start to finish? Do you do it for a benefit, or do you do it just because you feel like it's the right thing to do?

I do it because I support my team no matter what if we were down by 40 I would still be standing and cheering my team. I pay for my ticket just like everyone else there and if I want to stand the whole time then I believe it's my right to do so. If u wanna set down then that's fine I'm not yelling at anyone to quit sitting down and stand up, so mind your own business!!!

Standing up, in and of itself, doesn't show support for your team.

The guy behind me ask me to sit down after about the 2nd series of the game, that was a first for me. Even though it was cold I removed my jacket to reveal my "hell no I ain't sitting down" TSR t-shirt. They soon moved up a few rows lol.

guess you made daddy proud

I rep the vols wearing my orange almost 24/7 in the heart of bammer country so don't tell me I don't support my team. If I wanna stand when I attend a game then that's what I'm gonna do. For those who don't want to stand and cheer on the vols then stay at home and watch it on tv!

I live close to Tuscaloosa and I usually make it to a basketball and football game a year and every single time I have been to a football game I've been told by someone to set down and I'm like really are u really telling me to sit down. It's unbelievable!!! Every single game I've been to I stand from start to finish no matter what and will continue to do so! GBO!!!!

Not saying there's anything wrong with you're enthusiasm quite the opposite.

But maybe sometimes people behind you may have health problems.

I myself have severe rheumatoid arthritis at age 39.

I don't look like I'm sick in anyway but I couldn't stand more than maybe 5 minutes.

Just saying maybe sometimes people aren't trying to be rude to you.

Or do you do it just to irritate the people behind you?
