But his teams never give up! How many games did we watch of Bruce Pearl ball, where we were down and rolled over. Yes his offense is a little painful on the eyes at times, but his defense keeps us in games and it brings us back when we are down.

Watching Richardson and McRae bring this team back was something special. Richardson is now our leader as a Sophomore until we get Maymon back! The kid has heart and skill. He has a nice mid range jumper that has disappeared in this day and age of basketball. With Maymon, Reese, Edwards, and Golden hurt or whatever is going on with him, I'm proud of our vols tonight!

This team has mental toughness and that can be a huge factor when it comes in march.
Much respect to the players and coaches for not giving up

OMG yes, didn't you hate it when Bruce's teams rolled over when they won the SEC or made the Elite 8 or made it to #1 in the polls?

Stay stoked bra. Wheee.

For the record, I'm for CCM and hopefully he'll get some breaks injury-wise.

But taking gratuitous shots at BP is bs and has nothing to do with our current struggles.

With you on both counts. For some reason, lots of people try to make the last year representative of Pearl's entire tenure here. It's as if they think fans can't remember the first five years.

Totally agree. CBP helped put UT BB back on the map, even if he made a couple of bad decisions (BBQ and lying)...

The minutes Cuonzo gave McBee cost us the game.

I agree 1000%!!!! I just don't see how McBee can start. He cannot create his own shot, is too slow to guard anyone , & is missing 85% off his 3 pointers!!!! The other players get out of position with theirman trying to help him. In all off our games when he is on the court we struggle or get blown out. I don't know if Tre is hurt , but he plays with his head down, he has no confidence!!!! When they are in the games we get blown out!!!!

we unfortunately are back to moral victories. Coach Martin can't recruit, nor can he coach offense. We are a .500 team with him at the helm, I mean when in the hell did we get a walk on backup point guard?

OK, just checking in. Now tell me again what type of offense we are suppose to be running? If Stokes is a 5 star it must have been a mistake. He elevates to at least 3 inches when going to the basket to get his shot blocked.

:lolabove: Yeah the only difference was Pearls teams WON a lot more than they lost and they rarely lost at home...Do not even try to compare CCM to Pearl...It's not even close.

You do realize that CCM is only in his 2nd year right? And he wasn't lucky enough to inherited a Lofton or J Smith. He inherited a McBee and Kenny hall lol. Look at some of the players CCM has already recruited. Richardson, Yemi, Stokes (yes he isn't living up to his potential), Reese (only one game but looks like he is going to be a stud.) Not only did he evaluate talent and not just stars, he evaluated good character. (Not Ramar, Duke, Tabb, T Smith, etc) Pearl went for athletes and stars (Wooldridge and Hall) a good evaluator wouldn't have looked at their name and stars, they would look at their game basketball IQ. I was a huge Pearl supporter and I have no problems with him, he simply made a mistake and lied, we all have. I just get tired of hearing people say "bring back Pearl"...CCM is going to be fine. He has been unlucky with injuries so far, but don't forget he went 2nd in the SEC last year and still has a chance this year to do the same.

We were 7-7 last year heading into SEC play (much better SEC last year), this year we're 8-4. We are in much better position this year than last, now if we can have the same type of success in the conference we'll be all set.

Well said....Jarnell Pearl has been a bust this year.

He just needs to work on his cheap fouls. They keep him out of almost every game.
