I mean it’s probably going to be so close on talent as far as rosters anyways. I do think Tennessee will have a better class this year but Florida is spending like drunken sailors on nil right now. They guy said they would have a better ranked recruiting class this year.
Nobody brought up composite.
There’s a heck of a lot less big D1 basketball than FB recruits out there.Yet in basketball recruits rarely flip once they make their commitment public. Do the offers only change for football recruits and not basketball recruits? Odd the process is so different between the 2 sports.
Literally nobody in the media thinks we’re first out. Many of them think we’re hosting and a few of them think Ohio State should drop below us. Stop being a drama queen.Media narrative doesn’t help. We have a great year and win ten games, make the playoff, and crickets or discussion about is being first out.
Florida goes 7-5 and has a couple of nice wins at the end and the media can’t help but gobble and slob on Billy Napier after spending the first six weeks heating his seat up for him.
Stealing 2 of our recruits is not great though, especially at a position of need
Relationships are forged YEARS in advance, coaches are allowed much more access, and they play year round. Not to mention, much much smaller group of kids to recruit.Correct, College Basketball recruits usually never decommit from the school they choose. Comparing Apples and Oranges in this situation. By chance if they do decommit it's because the HC got fired or took another job.
Last one I recall was Chris Clarke from Virginia Beach in 2014. Committed to Donnie Tyndall and a week later decommitted. It wasn't long after, IIRC, that the Southern Miss mess was detailed publicly resulting in Tyndall's dismissal after the season. Can you recall the last UT basketball recruit to decommit? I can’t.
