'20 SC WR Jalin Hyatt (UT SIGNEE)

The ability of the QB on a high school team can affect that a lot. It's hard to stretch the field if the QB doesn't have the arm to make it work. I saw him running a lot of curls and underneath routes in his film.

Maybe because he's only 162 pounds and worried he will lose speed when he has to bulk up? Just purely guessing.

My thing with that is that if you have a staff that knows they want to put weight on a kid and keep his speed all you have to do is make him do speed drills as he bulks up to retain that speed. In today’s world it shouldn’t be an issue.

Tbh I didnt know that's how it worked, retaining speed. But yeah hes going to need to put on a good 25+ pounds

Sorry if it’s been discussed but why have neither of the in state schools offered him?
Because Clemson is in on bigger fish and Muschamp is a blithering idiot. Read this:
Poster from Jr board...

Weight and body will not be a issue on the next level. Va Tech has done an exceptional job recruiting him and have shown they genuinely want Jalin at their university. He is a 17 year old kid and after doing some research he wants to ensure he is making the best decision for him and his future.
It is nothing Va Tech has done but more so Jalin educating himself on the process and other universities. He felt in fairness to VaTech instead of continuing visits while being committed he wanted Va Tech to be fully aware he is exploring and educating himself on all options. He will more than likely take all five officials and then make a decision.
You cant coach speed or massive hands and he is blessed with both. As far as Carolina is concern this is all on Muschamp. After Jalin was very dominant at every station and ball thrown his way at camp Muschamp sat him in his office and was honest with his and Carolinas intentions. He felt J would struggle against SEC defensive man press but would continue to stay in touch. In other words he didnt at the time feel he was a SEC receiver...
Fast fwd to same conversation in Jeremy Pruitts office... Jalin I've coach on four NCAA championship SEC teams... I know what it takes to build a championship team and you are a SEC receiver. I wasnt wrong about Bryce and I know I'm not wrong about you...
I'm not saying he is committing to UT... I'm simply saying Pruitt and Muschamp obviously view talent differently. Jalin Hyatt was ours to lose and we will find out soon if it were the right choice not to offer him.
I told this same board about Jalin as a kid a 9 year old and the board laughed at me... I told this same board about Troy Williamson Sidney Rice and Alshon Jeffrey and the board laughed at me....so I'm saying it now we will regret that we did not offer this kid...
He also has a freak of a nature younger brother who is a rising 9th grader with offers from Oregon UT and Va Tech already....

He only needs to weigh 185 - 190 in college. No need for him if he is a speed guy to weigh 200+ I’m not saying it wouldn’t help but there isn’t a need for weight like that. You can be just as strong and weigh 185 - 190 everyone’s bodies are different.
