'20 SC WR Jalin Hyatt (UT SIGNEE)

While Hyatt was credited with a drop during the game, his performance Saturday capped off an impressive week during which he drew praise from analysts in attendance for Shrine Bowl practices and only added to his strong senior season at Dutch Fork.

He caught seven passes for 165 yards and three touchdowns — including the game-winning, 10-yard scoring pass in overtime — to lift Dutch Fork to a 34-31 win over Dorman High School of Roebuck, S.C., on Dec. 7 in South Carolina's Class 5A state championship game, giving the Silver Foxes their fourth consecutive state title.

Hyatt ended the season with 66 catches for a career-high 1,361 yards and a career-high 26 touchdowns for Dutch Fork, which finished with a 14-0-1 record.

After the first day of practice for the Shrine Bowl on Monday, 247Sports' Charles Power named Hyatt one of the top performers of the day, saying he "was able to get behind the South Carolina defense on a few different occasions."

"Hyatt’s burst was particularly evident during the 11-on-11 period in the afternoon," Power wrote after Monday's practice. "He got open downfield and nearly outran a Mason Garcia pass (difficult to do) and then used his quickness to get open on a slant for a short score.

"Hyatt still has some areas to improve at the next level, like play strength at the line of scrimmage and after the catch and consistency with his ball skills, but his ability to stretch the field and get vertical can be a mismatch when schemed correctly."

I love his attitude, but which service was dumb enough to drop him from 4 star status?
Not dumb necessarily.
Ignorant.

How, can these people accurately gauge someone's talent in conjunction with "progress ".

Kid is absolutely right. Don't believe in the crap. Just watch him score TDs for the Vols haha.
