Schedule going forward

I see NO REASON whatsoever why Danny White should schedule any team outside the conference other than patsy's. Two Big Team teams in the playoffs? What a joke. That conference is a joke. Their collective schedule was a total joke. And was a big bag of boring all year but alas they get two teams in? Pathetic. If this gets you rewarded - why schedule strong out of conference games?

This is nothing more than 2 teams who benefitted from pre-season rankings and the logo on their uniforms. Our Vols went from unranked to #1 in the playoffs with 2 weeks to go. While these 2 piles of sh** started at the top, stayed there playing nobody and then played with each other at the end like perverts. What a total joke.
Been saying this for years. Only thing that matters is record. Even if you play a bunch of High Schools. We play Bama and Georgia every year, that's already more than 95% of teams. And no one cares. Just win baby.

Ill own it guys with the 12 teams playoff coming. We should prepare ourselves and occasionally schedule a Big10 team in November. One to shut up their fans that say SEC teams won't play up there in November. Two because if we end up as a lower end of a 12 team playoff we might get stuck on road of host game and I would hate for our guys go from Athens and Knoxville in November to like Ann Arbor or Happy Valley in December in a first round playoff. Get acclimated. Yes I know its risky because if you lose a scheduled game like that you can fall. However you win that and thats probably the game of the week if you schedule it the second to last game when several SEC teams are playing their FCS teams. I do know the SEC will be headed to 9 game conference slate which will make coaches even less inclined to schedule tough out of conference but it will be great for fans and our teams prepping for the playoff if lucky or at least what Bowl we would be sent to.

This is stupid AF..Out of conference games aren't why the Big 10 will get 2 teams. TN and Ala both have 2 losses, both in the SEc. Has nothing to do with non conf games.

Thanks for the great insight Forest. That's not my point. The reason the Big 10 has 2 teams in is because they only have one or less losses BECUASE THEY DONT PLAY ANYBODY AND ARE GETTING GREATLY REWARDED. So my point was if that is the case, why even play any out of conference games of merit at all? Does not matter in the end. Risk reward way off.

If we had the same record as Ohio State, we may have passed them and got in. Also it isn't like they scheduled a cupcake, they scheduled Notre Dame.

Michigan had a soft OOC but a team cancelled on them and they couldn't schedule a makeup.
