Looking at the 06 schedule I feel we might have a chance for a very good season, and we do have a good track record for bounce back teams, as well as overachieving, as well as underachieving, therefore it's good no one is ranking us high. We're very lucky we do not play Auburn.

CAL- Will they wilt in the heat and humidity like LSU of all teams did last year? This is a big game for us to build confidence.

FLA- Not much of a running game, QB doesn't fit the offense, and is one dim

ensional. They are picked to win the SEC, and that team never does.

GA- I don't think they can beat us with a fifth year QB or a true frosh. I think they are the most overrated team we play.

BAMA- They have no offense without Prothro.

ARK-One dimensional without Mustain playing, but I don't think they can beat us with him since he's a true frosh, but this is a dangerous team playing inside the states border.

I agree that Arkansas is one of our toughest games.

I think it's tougher than both Bama and Georgia and probably Cal too.

The 2nd most important thing behind talent is schedule. It may even be the most important.

Myself and Phil Steele have Tennessee winning the East and going 11-1 or 10-2 going into the SECCG. Both of us have Florida finishing 3rd in the East. They have so many tough road games that it's almost impossible to get through unscathed. If they do, nobody will touch them in the NC.

Tennessee has a favorable schedule, with our toughest road games being UGA and ARK.

UGA has a great stable of RB, which takes the load off of Tereshinski or Stafford. Very winnable game for UT, considering UGA isn't as good as '04 when we went in and controlled the game.

ARK is late in the season, so one of two things is going to happen. Either Arkansas has a great record and is going to be fighting for the West, so we have a tough game. OR, Arkansas is middle of the West, disappointed, and won't put up a huge fight. Arkansas's best can still be beaten by us on the road.

I think if we have 1 loss, it's LSU at home. I have a bad bad feeling about it.

If we have 2, it's LSU and either UGA/ARK.

Tennessee lost 3 close games last year, and won 2 close games (1 if you throw UAB out). We also were -6 or something in TO, so that will turn around.

Another note on UF: they benefitted from +16 or so in TO. That will come back down to earth in 2006.

I think that '06 will be a decent year and '07 will be a great one.

2006: 9-3 at worst, to be honest
2007: tougher schedule, better team? 9-3 or so

:D

2006's outcome will weigh heavily on recruiting.

If cal is preseason top 5 I will die laughing. They arent even top 2 in their conference let alone top 5 in the country.

Didn't Steele pick Purdue in the top five last year? Or at least picked them very high?
