Didn't she recommend Hatchell for UNC and the current coach for Miami? Both coaches refuses to schedule Tennessee. I understand that Hatchell is still salty, but I have no idea as to why Miami will not schedule Tennessee.

We played miami two years ago right?

Am I the only one that wants Rutgers off the schedule?

Why does Oklahoma say no?

Oklahoma needs us playing in their State, or neighborhood (also their recruiting backyard) of Texas like a hole in the head! They already have Baylor, Texas, Texas AM, and UCONN snagging the talent that is Texas women's basketball, why invite a big name school like Tennessee in to get personal exposure with nearby talent? Oklahoma doesn't have the national pull that the return visit here would lure any talent from Georgia's rich grounds. The same rule goes for Miami and UCLA, they just don't need us getting any foot hold in their recruiting grounds.

Not so wild of a comment now huh????

Coates saved the program more so than PS, so, yea, it was still a wild comment. Coates did the work. Had Coates failed, would it be fair to day that PS killed the OU program? I didn't think so.

Also, was Oklahoma really close to shutting down the program? Nearly every college in America has a women's basketball program, so it would have been a bold decision by OU to go without women's BB.

^ Coates is at USC in uniform with eligibility.

Sherri Coale is at Oklahoma saving the program and (among other things) making that sideline and the Sooner coaching box look pretty darn good!

And, yes, to your last question:

In March 1990, Oklahoma officials released a statement saying that the women's basketball program was to be dropped, after many years of sub-par performance and low attendance. Many people voiced their complaints and eight days later, OU reinstated the program.--wikipedia

I would not mind seeing the Lady Vols play a home and home series against Duke or Wake Forest to have a recruiting presence in North Carolina.

We usually have a schedule by now guess the SEC is dragging this behind. I know last year we had a schedule by the 20th of August.

Schedule Dayton Flyers so they can be better prepared to beat UConn next year.
