Our Scholar of the week is going to HatVol.

And I'll start him off with these questions:

Hat, who is your favorite writer?

What is your favorite book?

What have you learned from your experiences here at Volnation?

1. Hemingway. 2. No One Here Gets Out Alive. 3. That intense debate between intelligent individuals is exhilirating, while trying to reason with imbeciles is exhausting.

I'm not sure Chuck Barris has ever really indicated if he actually worked for The Company or not. I think he feels it adds an aura of mystery to his story.

But clearly Jaye P Morgan, Jamie Farr and Artie Johnson were with the Company...

I always find it funny when CIA employees discuss working for "The Company" ... I try to get them to refer back to the CIA as many times as I can to see how many oddly-worded sentences I can get them to say involving multiple "The Company"s. :whistling:

As President for a day, I would shift the focus of the War on Terrorism from Iraq to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Indonesia, and Syria.

who is a better drummer, Alex Van Halen, Phil Collins or Animal?

Have the lyrics to a pop song from the 80's changed your perspective on a particular topic?

name one person, living or dead, with whom you'd like to have a spirited debate with. and why you'd pick that person.

I notice that Iran is absent. How close do you think they are to popular revolt?

1. Animal, but Collins is close. 2. Yes. I often look to lyrics from the Paul Young classic "I'm Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down" to help me interpret the posts of others. 3. Aaron Burr. He is one of the most underrated, brilliant figures in American history.

I think Iran has internal problems, as well as economic troubles, that make them more vulnerable to diplomatic and informational campaigns than military intervention.
