Scotty and Tobias

They dont mesh well. I think if Scotty stays, then Tobias is gone and if Tobias stays, then Scotty is gone. Pending a good workout for NBA teams of course. I dont think they want to play together. Big egos at work here.

If that's the case, I sure hope Tobias stays. I think he could play himself into a lottery pick with at least one more year in college. As for Hopson, I truly think he was just tired of everything by the end of the season.

Sadly, I think this is the case. I don't understand why they never "gelled" they would've been a huge threat this year.

I remember watching Ernie and Bernie in the mid-70's and they had great chemistry together. I never saw either of them jealous of the other. They both averaged over 20 pts./game. There is no reason why Hopson and Harris couldn't do the same. If Jones gets eligible and is the PG next year, I have a feeling both players (if they stay) will be much more successful because Jones will distribute the ball.

Has there been much discussion here about the potential for a NBA lock out next season? There's an article on the NYTimes website that explains a possible outcome of a lockout on current NBA prospects.

the possability for a lockout in nba may keep some kids in school, and as far as tobias and scotty go.i think they both would be making a mistake tobias would get drafted on potential but he will be playing the 4 position.and although he is a smooth and talented player he needs another year or two to gain weight get stronger,if he comes back and plays in a system that has a better halfcourt offense he could be an all american next year and average 20 pts 10 reb or better then draft status would be greatly increased, and scotty would have to have the best workout possible and still after the nba scouts would be concerned because they watch game film and they would see that he needs alot of work on not bouncing ball off foot while driving the ball and he stands around without the ball way to much,i hope they make it in nba somewtime but they both need another year unless scotty likes playing in europe and tobias liked the nba developemental leauge

I have seen nothing on the court or in print to make me think Tobias and Scotty don't think there are enough possessions for the both of them.

The chemistry problems on this team were due to Goins's ball-hogging, Tatum's loafing and super-slump, and BW's just being generally weird.

Tobias and Scotty seemed to get along.

All good points on you part. I do think that if the former coaching staff had been doing their jobs properly that many of the issues could have been corrected (except for Brian's weirdness (highness?).

I believe if UT gets a decent PG and these 2 come back that with the new coaching staff in place (the assistants appear to be upgrades and if with Coach Martin's philosophy of you don't play defense, you don't play, a novel concept by the way), this team could look 180 degrees different.....for the better.
