Not bad. Point was people have been "helping" Hopson his whole life. Like an addict, until he looks deep down in himself, he won't change, no matter what help he gets. You think anyone has told him that yet?
Well, I think Hopson dominated in high school because he was just a better athlete than everyone around him.
Then he got to college, and all he heard was how he needed more confidence and needed to be more assertive.
So by his junior year he had started projecting an air of false confidence, which his play didn't quite back up (although he had flashes), and he came off like he was maybe not living in the same reality as the rest of us.
Scotty can play professional ball, but he has to adjust his expectations. He thinks he can be a go-to guy, and that's not going to happen. He needs to set his mind on doing the little things, and being an all-around player--defense, rebounding, running, and being efficient offensively when he gets open looks or one-on-one chances.
If he does THAT, he can be a started in the NBA for years. But he has to get his mind off of stardom, and accept hard work and "glue-guy" type roles.
