It's that kind of blind affinity, in either direction, that will cause people to look like fools. If you trust Basilio over Barnes and/or his staff........ When was the last time Basilio let facts get in the way of his story or agenda?
Does Basilio still have a show? I thought he had run out of radio stations in the Knoxville area?

2 years ago, if you had said, "If you trust Basilio over Pruitt and/or his staff........", you'd have looked like a fool when Basilio broke the story a year ago about his office being raided and the NCAA snooping around.
You don't always have to choose one side of the fence and stay there come hell or high water. There is a middle ground to be found.

If you are comparing Pruitt to Barnes in coaching, trustworthiness or integrity, then your argument is flawed. Basilio's track record speaks for itself and that's why I side with Barnes and his staff.
Dont get me wrong. TB's shows were mildly entertaining.....kinda like sitting on a bench at Dollywood and watching the folks walk by. But, there is a reason why he doesn't get press credentials to UT press events and why he has rented time and been cancelled on every low budget radio station in the Knox County area.
I thought Trey Wallace broke that story? It's that kind of blind affinity, in either direction, that will cause people to look like fools.

Basilio hasn’t been a radio group employee for 10 or 15 years. He is independent and currently sells (or trades for slots/spots) his feed to a low powered urban AM/FM. His business model before COVID was to do frequent remotes. He still doesn’t rely on ratings. He retains advertisers by sending a few hundred loyal disciples directly to the businesses that advertise with him. He probably does that (remotes) better than State Run Radio but it’s a disproportionate mix of watch parties at bars. The Sports Animal has a business model based on traditional ad sales. The remote broadcasts at WNML are thrown in with larger on air schedules that are sold.
I appreciate this info. However, when he was on the air, the same dozen callers or so called every day at about the same time. Your estimate of "several hundred loyal listeners" seems to be a little inflated. Is he still on the air and if so, when and where?
Lmao is that seriously Fox Sports Knox's setup???BTW, the WNML studios on Olde Kingston Pike and the WKGN studios in the west side ghetto, View attachment 406534View attachment 406535
