I'm strung a little tight today, so I'll do this now.

I need football. I need football, bad. It's wearing me down, and I went nutzo. :D

So, I will stand by my wish that we could have more orange in the stadium. However, I apologize to those I snapped at. I have lapses sometimes where I become rude, and it was undeserved.

I hope you all will still have me, and still tolerate me. It won't happen again.

I with VolinArz. I have been saying for a long time to put up the navy and grey! Wear ORANGE! If you can't wear orange then wear white.
I had this discussion with some friends last year and convinced them to wear orange to the home opener. I told them how Orange represents Tennessee and CPF always wants the team to wear orange. As they come out for warmups I noticed CPF wearing his WHITE polo :no: :crazy: :BANGHEAD2: !!!!!!! Orange is Tennessee not navy or grey:finger3:

i think we should have orange and white but have it look like Miami's uni's and have the grey stripes-where the CANE's have that white stripe around their UNI's

I'm going to wear orange boxers and if I think that maybe the team on the field would play just a little better if only some more orange was in the stands then I might be forced to strip to my skivvies. At least they are not grey.

I actually implied that what we wear has NOTHING to do with on the field play.

Put it on the tickets. Send emails or fliers to season ticket holders. Put it in all the newspapers.

I will have mine on for the Cal game.

Georgia looks pretty freaking red in that picture. That shade of red is probably a little more fashionable than our orange, though. In the summer, it seems like there is more orange, because everyone wears orange T-shirts or polos. In the winter, jackets are more expensive, and people tend to opt for something a little fancier than a bright orange UT coat. That's my opinion. The amount of orange in Neyland is directly proportional to the temperature in Knoxville.

I think that the point was people are more likely to buy an orange T-shirt (that they can wear in warm weather) than they are a nice (read: expensive) orange jacket for the colder winter months. They are more likely to wear their good coat, which would most likely not be orange. At least, I think that was the point....

Notre Dame does something to actually promote this very thing. They have a game day shirt that they encourage all their attending fans to wear so they all match. Not everyone does this ofcourse but I think this is probably the best way. It makes it the "in" thing to do, and fans like to feel unified in general. I heard Mike Hamilton on Sports Talk a few weeks ago being asked about this very thing, and he said that Tennessee is strongly considering the tradition of a game day shirt beginning maybe in a year or so.

Personally, I like wearing orange too, but I have no problem with the people who don't. I actually wore black to most of the home games last year, but I just thought that was appropriate considering I felt like I was at a funeral everytime.

Don't forget to write Dr. Sousa and tell him to change the uniform because of all the Navy blue in it.
