Disagree. OU is more talented and I think Veneables is better than Doern.Transfer tight end who we also recruited. Starting rb. Returning WR #10. The transfer WRs from portal. They got a lot of talented kids from portal. But lets be clear i didnt say I think they beat us I specifically said I think are more of a threat IMHO than Oklahoma. Because of when we play them.
not saying they are not more talented or that they don't have a better coach as I said its about the timing of the game. We play NC State Game 2. The team will still be finding itself at that point. We have a lot of new faces in key places on both sides of the ball. By the time we play Oklahoma, we will have a good idea who we are. Yes, Oklahoma is a 'better' team and higher ranked but all 3 teams are ranked close to each other the gap is not as wide as you may think. Every preseason poll I have seen has all 3 teams in that 12-20 range with some having Oklahoma ranked over UT and others having UT higher.Disagree. OU is more talented and I think Veneables is better than Doern.
Florida was terrible last year and we got walked. They didn't even make a bowl and lost to Kentucky again. There was no excuse last year either. If we lose to Florida again this season then something is wrong with our program. There is no excuse when we have the more talented team, the better gameday coach, and it's played at home.
If we lose to Florida, then it will be because we weren't more talented, and/or we didn't have a better game day coach. If we lose to Florida again this season then something is wrong with our program. There's always a chance. They'll be lucky to be ranked at all by seasons end. Saban is gone. 1st year coaching staff. Player turnover. Deborah isn't gonna magically pick up where Saban left off 1st year in the SEC. UT wins by 2 TDs in NeylandSo you’re saying there’s no chance of losing to what will be a consensus top 5 team? Interesting take.
There’s more than a chance as I don’t see any realistic way we’re favored by more than 7 and we might not be favored at all. That means that one or two bounces one way or the other and the game changes drastically. I do agree that DeBoer won’t be able to fill Saban’s shoes but they still have a very talented roster and he’s at least a decent coach. If I had to pick right now I’d say we do win but you’re seemingly 95% UT, 5% Bama when I’d say it more likely close to 60/40. They have a new staff and we have a new QB. While Nico is a great talent, he hasn’t proven much on the field yet. I think he will but will it be in year 1 or will he have some growing pains this year? History says the latter. We shall see. It’s a long way to Bama. Thanks for the chat though. There's always a chance. They'll be lucky to be ranked at all by seasons end. Saban is gone. 1st year coaching staff. Player turnover.
