Thanks for posting this, lvocd.I know for a fact that a lot more older people would go to more games if so many of the best seats weren't already scooped up, and often left unoccupied on game day, by folks/entities who've bought them for resale only.
They'll decide to go, and then once they look at the seating chart online it appears nothing much at all is available in the lower bowl, but if they ever do go to a game after begrudgingly purchasing a seat higher up, they get frustrated and angry when they look down below them and see row after row after row of empty seats in the lower bowl. So they say, "I can see the game better on TV" and don't go back.
I have heard this from people many, many times.
I guess I pre-qualify to become one of those begrudgingly "high & whiney" attendees.
I'm looking to attend that first home game. Having not been to a game since 2008, I've been on the watch for posts like yours to know what to expect.
By way of comparison, does anyone remember what the first home game was like (regarding tickets and attendance) for Kellie's first home game in 2019?
