SEC Championship: #5 Missouri vs #3 Auburn (CBS, 4:00 PM)

So how far does Missouri fall in the bowl pecking order?

They've played well enough to warrant a "they can put on a show" opinion.

But they're also small enough that I could easily see them falling all the way to the Chick-fil-a bowl, even if they stay in the top 10.

Hopefully they get a CapOne bid worst case.

Coming into this game, Mizzou's D was 14th in the nation in rushing defense and hadn't given up more than 28 points.

I don't know.

South Carolina likely will be ranked higher and will have the same record, so I would think they get the Capital one spot with a bigger audience.

And LSU will be within a game record wise. Doesn't that mean that the bowls can choose to pick them while Missouri's still on the board? I could see the Outback going that route.

Missouri will bring more fans to Orlando than South Carolina.

Cotton bowl. If they don't make a BCS bowl it's the one I would want to go to.

the selfish vol fan in me does't want to see Auburn make the NC game. The college football fan in me wants to see Auburn vs FSU. with that said, lets go Duke.

How heavily though?

I realize there's going to be a discrepancy due to a 600 mile difference in travel between the two.

I don't know, but on TV it wasn't even close. Auburn fans were all in the Mizzou fan base section. A lot of Auburn alumni in Atlanta too.

Can't remember for sure. The vols played there a few years ago IIRC. Can't remember what year it was though.

Like every 4th or so year they flip but they have to set up an agreement with…it's either the Chick-fil-a or Outback.

Tennessee went in 2000 and 2004; which also were the only times a non-West team went to the Cotton Bowl since they started the relationship in the late 90s.

so 87 points were scored in the first 3 quarters combined

and then only 14 points were scored in the last quarter
