Tickets went on sale at 9 AM and they are sold out of books by 9:01. How is that possible? I bought 4 books last year and never got an opportunity to buy mine this year. Any help?

I guess the only thing to do is wait a few weeks and see if they go on resell. This is extremly frustrating.

It appears legit sold out on the SEC site. I wonder if some third parties bought them up to put on the secondary market.

A little off topic, but the way tickets are handled in the US is outrageous. Not surprising these tickets are gone, but I'm not sure how they do it and why the sports teams, performers, etc. put up with it. I just ordered tickets to see Eric Clapton in Stuttgart in two months, 7th row, centre section for just over $ each. Compare that with Paul McCartney tickets at Thompson Boling on the same day- over a thousand each. (Yeah, I know they aren't quite equal, but they're not that different either)

Yep, I wanted to go to that so bad, I just can’t swing that kinda dough. It’s probably gonna be my last chance, but I just can’t do it.

Ticketmaster has become a scam that allows the artists and team owners to have a cut of the resale market.

There is ZERO incentive to repair the fixed system. The only resale market is not capitalism- it's evil crony capitalism and event ticketing has become just as corrupt as other institutions like the Luxxotica organization.

Monopolies and oligarchies don't exist in a vacuum. They all require layer after layer of governmental agencies running interference. All the ticket resellers are "in on it" with Tickemaster/LiveNation. The old 19th and 20th century "monopolies" weren't monopolies more than they were well vertically integrated industries. TicketMaster is a flat out monopoly that skirts the law and public perception with just enough "cheap tickets" to promote the appearance that everyone has a fair chance at tickets.

Yes Hoover. Reserved seats went on sale this morning at 9 and were sold out by 9:10 and by 9:01 all that was left was one section beyond third base. Very questionable.
I went all week last year and didn't have this kind of trouble. If I recall, tickets went on sale a lot closer to the event because of covid but there was at least a chance to get some. Don't get me wrong they went fast too but, come on, this is nuts.

It's not like you won't be able to get in but if you wanted the good seats down low you are SOL in 30 seconds? It ain't an Elvis concert, something is fishy.

Keep in mind, people start checking out of Hoover after day one and every day after. But yeah, sure seems like something is up on the secondary market.

I was thinking they went on sale later last year. We just liked our seats behind home plate for every game, in the shade.

Lol, I skipped over to Tiger Droppings to see if there were any comments on this topic. LMAO. They are blaming us.

Unless UT sent out an e-mail to the season ticket holders giving folks a heads up, the vast majority of people had no idea tix went on sale today. I don’t recall tix going on sale after week 1 of SEC ball.

I. Am. Going. To. Hoover.
