I'll make this my first post...

Very tough choice between Tubs and Fulmer, but I just couldn't go against Phil in this one.

What Tubberville has done in Auburn is nothing short of amazing, it's been since 1998 where a team went undefeated in the SEC, and they've been putting a whooping on any team in their(with the exception of LSU.) They've also defeated 3 teams that we're in the top 10 when they played them(LSU, Tennessee, Georgia.)

I went with Fulmer because not a sole outside of Volunteer fans thought that they would be in the SEC title game. 2 true freshmen QBs that are now injured, along with losing 3 of the 4 defensive backs last year, as the only one back Jason Allen made the switch to FS even to compensate for the inexperience out there. They went to Georgia and beat a very good Bulldog team, and had 1 slip up all season SEC-wise.

When comparing the two teams, it pretty much looks even, but I had to vote for Fulmer in this one.

I wouldn't call losing to Auburn a "slip-up"... Maybe by the fact that we lost by 24 points, but losing to Auburn this season is no slip-up. They may very well be the best team in the whole country.

As I think CPF has done more with less, start with a very young squad at multiple positions the deal with injuries and other team problems I have to say Fulmer. Doesnt take much of a coach to coach Auburn...like a plane on autopilot he just sits back and enjoys the ride.

I meant sdlip-up by it being a blow out loss, at Neyland. We didn't seem prepared for Auburn's running game, and I do think that the SEC title game will be a lot closer.

I think that Tubberville will get it, based on Auburn beating Tennessee that game, but overall I say that Fulmer has done an excellent job with this Vols team and deserves it just a bit more under the circumstances.

I'd say that a lot more people are surprised with Tenn going 7-1 in the SEC and making the SEC title game than they are with Auburn being undefeated. Not exactly sure, but preseason ranks has Auburn #7 I believe, while Tenn was at #12, we still had 3 or 4 SEC teams in front of us.

It's really a toss up and I can see it going either way, but Fulmer gets my vote.

AUburn is undefeated, and if they vote before December 4, then I say Tupperware gets it. But if it is after, I vote for Fulmer when they beat Auburn.

none of those deserve it. Cutcliffe lost Manning and many more off of a pretty good Rebel team. My vote is for DC. Fulmer loses because of his ND/Ainge, Shula blew his chances against Auburn, and Tubberville was loaded coming into the year. DC you get my vote!

DC is meeting the AD this week and may lose his job for going 4-7.

The only argument I would make for Shula is that Bama has lost their entire backfield for the season and still managed to at least meet expectations. Plus we were not blown out in a single game and instead stayed close in all of them. That said I think that Wingnut (TT) probably deserves it given what he went through in the off season.

Can we vote for TT's offensive coordinator? 'Cause without him, TT would still be winning only 7 games.

I don't think the AD at Ole Miss voted that way?

Come on guys - a lesser coach could have never guided Ole Miss to 4 wins this year.

I'm going to assume that Don was joking here.

Its gotta be Tuberville. And trust me it hurts to say that. But Fulmer made some dumb calls. He also cost us our qb. And Tuberville beat us handily Twice. Beating the vols twice in one season is nearly impossible. But OU and USC deserve the Orange Bowl. N E way go vols. :censored: the aggies

I have a conspiracy theory about the whole Ainge injury thing. When Erik Ainge's name popped up on ESPN on the Heisman contender list I think CPF knew something had to be done to avoid Erik's crashing and burning too early. Hence, the seperated shoulder. There is no doubt in my mind that Ainge could have played if necessary. QB's have played with far worse before. But that's just my latest conspiracy theory. I will have a new one next week.

Did anyone catch the comment about Fulmer during the Cotton Bowl.

He was asked what he thought about the recent coaching changes in the NCAA and he replied their have been forty coaching changes in the SEC alone since he’s been head coach of Tennessee.
