Sec defense..

Defenses are every bit as good as years past, if not better. However offenses have gotten so complex and innovative to overcome top-level defenses, that it just doesn't seem like it anymore. Not to mention the several rule changes to promote offensive production. Give it about 5 years, and you'll see a defensive revolution to combat these new-age innovative offenses that have popped up in the last 6 or 7 years.

so true.the 4th best team in the sec would at least play for the pac 12 title.

With how weak the Pac-12 South is, the fourth best team has already played for the title two years running.

With the Furman, Citadel, UAB, and Sanford type schools as breathers on the schedule, a SEC slate is not especially daunting, particularly in the East.

Little travel and interspersed cupcakes does not a tough schedule make.

Eight game conference schedules are a joke in a 14 team conference.
