Tennessee and Georgia are the two best teams in the East division and the two best teams in the country !
Georgia won the NC last year out of the East , Tennessee has beat the two best teams out of the west division , already this year ! Seems to me that we are witnessing a long overdue power shift in the SEC !
It's time for the East ( specifically TENNESSEE ) to dominate the SEC and college football , for the next 10 - 15 years !!

While it's hard to beat a team twice, and the underdog is presumed to have the advantage Alabama should be just as concerned about playing UT. Bryce Young made unbelievable play after unbelievable play to keep Alabama in it.
Without Bryce Young , the Vols win that game going away .
I'm doing a lot of message board speculating here , but my dream scenario would be win out regular season and absolutely destroy Ole Miss , in Atlanta .

Good post. Yep…TN and ga. The icing on top is fl is a distant 3rd or 4th. Will never pull for the bammers in anything but if the knuckle draggers manage to win the west I would love to get a head start on our own streak.

Interesting thing is that starting in 2025 the whole SEC schedule changes. Our permanent rivals will likely be Alabama, Vanderbilt, and maybe Kentucky. We may only see Florida and Georgia every other year starting then.

Bryce Young does this nearly ever game, not just our game. When you are arguably the best QB in the nation, you make unbelievable after unbelievable play, Your own QB also falls into this conversation. However Young proved last year that he is the top guy until someone knocks him off the throne.

Don't sleep on Bama. Do not want to play them again.
We had 2 turnovers 1 was a scoop and score and were missing 4 starters, Bryce Young played out of his mind yet we still beat them. If you are skeert say your skeert, but we would beat them again if we play them again.

Lol I am not scared, but sleeping on a deeply talented team with a Heisman-level QB is nuts. They gave us five uncontested TDs with Hyatt and they still almost won. They played a dumber scheme against us with better talent than Pittsburgh did. I seriously doubt that happens twice, either.

I would like to see the SEC keep East and West divisions. Move Missouri to the West , along with Oklahoma and Texas . Move Alabama and Auburn to the East . It's more geographically correct , you would play 9 conference games and 3 non conference games . For example, Tennessee would play everyone in the East every year and rotate two teams from the west. You could even do a home and home with the west , which would have you playing every team in the west , twice in eight years . Once at your home stadium and once at theirs.

I hope Alabama goes to the West

I would love to see Tennessee play Alabama again. Could you imagine what our defense at full strength could do? The defense was a patchwork at best when we played.

Word is the divisions are gone with the new format. Each team will have 3 permanent opponents and 6 rotating opponents.

I've heard that too , I guess that model would eliminate the need for a conference championship game . Wonder how much money the SEC makes on the conference championship game ?
