I'm doing a lot of message board speculating here , but my dream scenario would be win out regular season and absolutely destroy Ole Miss , in Atlanta .

Not mine. Win the East and beat Bama twice in the same year is mine.

I've heard that too , I guess that model would eliminate the need for a conference championship game . Wonder how much money the SEC makes on the conference championship game ?

With an expanded playoff system they will make up for it if they put 3 teams or 4 into the mix which would add to the pot. 3-4 extra games for the SEC teams vs 1 SEC Championship Game. It is all about the money plus who wants an SEC Championship Game putting players at risk.

With the expanded playoff it may be eliminated, or still played by the top two teams....idk. Smart thing is to do away with it with often getting multiples in the playoffs.

It is definitely all about the money ! Distance fans have to travel for conference games ( outside of the geographic footprint of the southeast) and putting players at risk with additional games , takes a backseat to the almighty dollar !
