I've thought for some time that the TFP has better coverage on the VOLS, especially since the KNS added the pay site. I remember hearing the KNS editor on the Animal talking about how the coverage wouldn't change and being incredulous about the statement. Years ago, the KNS had really good UT and other sports coverage. It's not been that way in a long time. I don't get the impression that the KNS staff even likes or appreciates the VOLS.

Unlike most college towns where the university IS the town, the KNS have never been pompom shakers for UT. It seems more line it has always been an adversarial relationship, especially in the last twenty or so years.

If you are talking about the Chattanooga Times Free Press, why? They have been far more accurate than the KNS, Hyams, Rucker, Hubbs, and the rest of Knoxville's media. They do not run the SEC FB page.

This. However I don't think fishy is coming and frankly I'm not excited about the idea. I'm at a loss with the coaching search ....

FSU playing in the Orange Bowl...would Jimbo really leave now? May just be leverage to get the facilities upgrades he wants from FSU.

Fisher waited for his turn at FSU, has it easy in terms of recruiting, and has a son fighting a tough blood disorder.

I have a hard time believing he would uproot.

Is this the same person that reported that Gruden had a contract "in hand"

Hargis @ TFP never said Gruden had contract "in hand" so if that is what you mean, you may want to read that article again, hoss.

TFP never said a contract was "in hand".

They said Tennessee had offer on the table to make Jon Gruden their next head football coach.

And your point is? Hart isn't going to send out a formal contract to anyone unless he knows they are going to take it.
