SEC HC Most Likely To Bolt For NFL

Miles will be the next head coach of the Cowboys. He fits perfectly with Crazy Jerry and Doolander - the Tard Trio, if you will. We might have to put poor Witten on suicide watch if that happens.

Can't see Sumlin and Malzahn go based on their offenses. I can see Willie bolting, especially if Richt has his number. Franklin is too cocky and stupid to leave - idiot thinks he can build a powerhouse in Nashville. He'll go down in flames with the rest of them.

hopefully saban goes back to the nfl soon--the thought of him staying at alabama and winning a bunch more titles makes me nauseous

James Franklin is on a hype train that is bound to be derailed, and I am going to laugh when it does.

I'm not exactly a James Franklin fan, and to an extent, don't like him. But I like to think I can be level headed enough to avoid blind bias. He will not bolt for the NFL, more likely it will be to a bigger college program. If he brings VU into another 9-3+ season and wins another bowl game, he may be seen as a hot commodity. Some major program seeing only marginal or worse success. There's no question that JF is a very good motivator. Like it or not, the guy can coach. Except maybe the desperate NY Jets, I can't see a NFL wanting him as a HC. I doubt VU is willing to shell out the type of bucks it would take to keep him when other programs come calling.

Les Miles? Maybe. He's unhappy with SEC scheduling as it makes it harder work for him to win NCs. I'm not sure he'd be coveted as a NFL HC but maybe an assistant HC. He's just too eccentric to be taken seriously by pro players or even management to be head honcho. Plus I really don't think he's as stupid as he acts. He knows he's in a talent rich state so will field competitive teams year after year, even in down years. If he leaves it will be to another program situated in another talent rich state. My prediction is Mack Brown will underachieve again and be let go by Texas. Les Miles will most likely bolt for Texas. Crazy as it sound, Mack Brown could end up in Tennessee on Jones' staff. [So it is written, so it shall be.]

I want Saban to stay put so we beat Bama when they're at their best. Any other attitude than that is cowardly.

Spurrier and Saban both decided that the being a SEC head coach was a better job than the NFL so what does that tell you?? Right now maybe Miles or Freeze, but Miles is overrated and only wins because of an abundance of talent in Louisiana.
Sounds like SEC homer revisionist history... Spurrier and Saban both had their asses handed to them in the NFL and came back to the SEC with their tails between their legs.

Les Miles, maybe.
James Franklin, no chance.

My votes would be (in this order):
(1) Will Muschamp
(2) Kevin Sumlin
(3) Gus Malzahn
(4) Les Miles

Those are the only four that I could see going.

Muschamp actually seems more like an NFL guy. I could definitely see him there if he ever got the itch and an NFL team wanted him. He was DC with the Dolphins for a year and he's only 41 years old.

I don't think Malzahn would go, because he'd probably have to go back to being an OC. Maybe if he fares poorly in Auburn, he might go on to the NFL as an OC.

I could see Sumlin or Miles in the NFL, but I think both are probably more suited to the college game. Miles is also 59 years old, so if he doesn't go in the next few years, he's probably never going.

Saban's not going back and neither is Spurrier. Bilemma and Butch Jones are both college guys. Can't see Richt bolting for the NFL, either. None of the other coaches would even be in the running for an NFL HC job. (Though, maybe Freeze could be if he builds a reputation in the SEC.)

I doubt Miles could spell NFL

I seriously don't see James Franklin coaching a NFL team and that has nothing to do with me not liking the guy

Choosing BAMA over the NFL will turn out to be the wisest decision Saban ever made. Kinda like hitting the mega lotto right after a Kate Upton marriage proposal.

Not Saban and Spurrier;

I'd go Sumlin and/or Miles (though the latter I have a harder time seeing)

If Franklin goes to the NFL will Butch Jones wind up at Vanderbilt?

No. Butch is a smart guy. He knows he has a chance to return a historical powerhouse back to prominence. The UT, despite ESPN still has pull. All he has to do is get this program winning with a decent record a few times and recruits will once again flock here. Further, the Tennessee games with Alabama, Florida, and Georgia will once again be big time TV games that puts him on a huge national stage. Vanderbilt just doesn't have that magic. And Butch isn't stupid.

Only if you cut your dick off, grind it into a fine powder, and sprinkle it on the 50 yard line of Louisville's pizza stadium while awaiting Xenu to take you away. So, I am going to give you some credit and say no.

I know they are 2 of the best ever in the college game, but deep down inside they both are cowards could not stick it out in the NFL and old Nick was all chicken chit at the end of gig in miami.
