congratulations to the great honors. I have no idea how Vescovi gets first team over Chandler. Chandler was more impactful to the team, and that's no knock on Vescovi. I guess one's a freshman, but that shouldnt play a part in deciding who gets 1st/2nd team.

Agree with all the different superlatives, but I might have put KC (just for being the steals leader) on the all defensive team ahead of ZZ.

We have some of the most ignorant posters that drive through. SV first team selected by the league coaches yet last year There were many disparaging his lack of athleticism, inability to dribble to his right, and complete lack of ability to guard the perimeter. Stand up and own it if you were one of ‘em

I would have flipped 1st and 2nd team between Chandler and Vescovi. No clue why they picked Zeigler over Chandler on the D team, and James being excluded is a joke. Kennedy and Zeigler being on All-Freshman is correct.

IMO Vescovi & JJJ are our key players & KC . I think the free throw Yips have hurt KC as a go to guy at the end and that is unfortunate brand.
Opposing coaches will instruct fouls in crunch time as opposed to letting him do his things.

Kennedy won’t be near the ball in crunch time if I had to guess. Especially if ZZ and Santi are out there.

I think Vescovi deserved 1st team; other coaches scheme hard to keep him from taking over games and he plays really well defensively and rarely turns the ball over. Also rebounds well for a guard.

JJJ should probably be all defense team over Zeigler, but Zeigler is very impressive defensively so I’m not too worried about that

That's the first team selections and KC. Seems like Molinar was just picked because of his points. They went too Forward heavy imo, Walker and Jaylin both have no business being on the First-Team list.

Surprised many are arguing for KC over ZZ for defensive team. While KC has improved over the season and has a knack to pickpocket his guy, ZZ has elite ball defense. He consistently stays in front of his guy and pesters other teams PGs. KC on the other hand, while having improved, does get beat on the dribble at times and loses sight of his assignment.

Other than that, my biggest complaint is that Jaylin Williams for Arkansas made 1st team. My only guess is that coaches wanted to vote for a 2nd Arkansas player aside from Notae and he was the next best one. But I'd argue half the 2nd team are better individual players.

Will Wade is a head scratcher with his lineups.

Wilkinson starting over Eason and Reid staying starting is confusing. He also worked so hard to get O'Neal there and he barely plays even though this is his 2nd season at LSU.

KC has more total rebounds, steals, and blocks than ZZ.

I think any of these three KC, ZZ, or JJJ were all deserving of being All Defensive team.

JJJ was 14th in rebounds, 10th in blocks and 14th in steals based on the per game sorting.
KC was 1st in steals
ZZ was 9th in steals

If anything you could make a stronger case for JJJ...I'm actually more disappointed he got no love than anything else. He's 42nd even in PPG, so in every major category he's top 15 (except) scoring but couldn't even make a 2nd team or all-defensive team?
