Guz is the safest in my opinion. He may usher Saban out the door in the next few years.

Swap Butch Jones and Dan Mullen and it's hard to argue. Butch is no where near any kind of hot seat but neither are any of the others below # 6. Might could put Richt ahead of Butch since they are constant underachievers but they still win a lot of games.

Wow. Right when you think you have heard it all. BJ has not won anything at UT, Richt has won the East 5-6 times and has one of the highest career winning %'s for any coach the past ten years, all while at UGA. BJ is one year removed from 5-7, that is the extent of his resume' at UT so far. Can't compare him to Richt at all. :loco:

Pinkel's job more secure than Malzahn's? Lol. Malzahn could have any job he wanted right now with one phone call.

It actually probably is. Not because Pinkel is a better coach, but because Mizzou football doesn't carry the weight like it does in Auburn.

Columbia, MO is a town about the size of Jackson. It brokers a fan base from all over the state, but a great number of the high-dollar alumni live in St. Louis. St. Louis has NFL, NHL and MLB to divide interest.

Plus Pinkel's Missouri teams are already VERY good compared to what was there before him. He has a TON of slack.

Not to mention, he is a very, very good coach. He may do more with less than any other team in the SEC.

Richt isn't going anywhere and that''s just fine with me.

You don't remember the Jim Donnan or Ray Goff era at Jawga do you? They were TERRIBLE. I love the #FireMarkRicht threads on Dawg forums because they clearly don't remember those other coaches either.

Check the stats..

#FireMarkRicht after he's gone they will go back to a .500 club fighting with Kentucky and Vandy at bottom of SEC East.

Butch shouldn't be on anyone's HOTSEAT

He's not. The list is dumb, because there's only one coach who is officially on the hot seat (Muschamp) and one coach in danger of being on the hot seat (Mason).

The rankings pretty much just reflect who is most likely to even come close to being on the hot seat.

Mason shouldn't be on a hot seat period. In fact, no matter who the coach is at Vandy, they should never be on a hot seat because Vandy is right where they're used to being. It's the nature of their program. A couple of lucky years doesn't change the culture of that s*** program.
