SEC Media Preseason Poll has........

And out come the know-nothing Florida haters ....

Just because its fashionable, of course.

Actually, as apparent from the SEC media voting, Florida is fashionable.

Exactly. And while they are by no means infallible, I put substantially more credence in the opinions of the media who cover all the teams than the fans of one in particular.

Pathetic attempt at trolling. Stick to bellyaching about correct calls by officials. When Florida's gutless chuckers are on the fringe of missing the NCAA Tournament again this February, we'll be laughing at you.

it has clearly paid dividends for you.

The difference is, I don't pretend to know where UF should be ranked in the SEC preseason media poll and I sure don't claim to know where UT ought to be. I just laugh at all of these UT fans who see Florida above UT and who protest mightily despite the fact that they, too, don't know.

They just don't like being ranked behind UF and that's good enough for them to post some useless drivel contesting what people who at least have a clue think about it.

Not saying the media types are right. But for purposes of this process one would assume they know inifnitely more than getyourpopcornready does. Probably a calculus sort of thing, actually, and they know infinitely more +1.

The media pundits are exactly that. Most of the early season types are journalism major types that defaulted to sportswriter. At least there are a few folks posting around here who have been around teams, understand the sport and can be reasonably objective. That isn't the case in the crowd you're celebrating.

The folks that fall into the category you describe would not be so stupid as to flippantly remark that UT is clearly the best team in the SEC this year.

Florida is the only team in the SEC East returning 5 starters. I htink Vols will be 2nd in East and no worse than 3rd. Not sure how the Cats will be.

Florida has experience but I am not sold on them until I see some freakin defense out of them and an offensive presence that does not begin at the 3 point line and move outward from there.

Last year's squad was flat out timid and afraid of physical teams. The team needs size and strength down underneath and to wear teams down, rather than to just keep chucking it from the cheap seats.

Other than the fact that by now it should have dawned on them that they aren't going to win enough games by being consistently outrebounded, I see no reason to expect this year's team to improve.

Yes, ole Eddie Munster is as innocent as a choir boy. It's really strange though, how did he get such a dominant UF team in the back to back title years but hasn't had any success since then? His recruitment of Mike Miller was a little strange too come to think of it....

Could it be that he got some help from agents???

People are getting a little carried away with the Georgia hype.

We're better coached than we've been for quite some time. The kids are playing hard but we get beaten when we're out-manned. We're a little thin on depth but our starting group is pretty good. KY won't win it. I think it's wide open.

Uh... You do realize Florida already won it, right?
