Good for you! How do you like Uverse so far?

Give me a week to answer that. I signed up last Friday and don't get it installed until this Friday. All I have ever had is Comcast. It is a relief to finally try something else.

I have dish. And this is absolutely true. The genie is way more interactive, gives you more recording options, and with the wireless minis launched give you options around where you want your tv. The only thing that the hopper had the genie bested in is storage space, 1 terabyte vs 2 worth the hopper.

I went from the Comcast 60 GB DVR to the 1 TB Genie, so the storage space isn't an issue for me at all. I don't think I have ever filled it up more than about 30%.

For the people in Chattanooga, I talked with EPB yesterday to set up a new service and they are in fact going to offer the SEC network at no additional charge if you have the gold package programming

Thanks for that. Should I switch from comcast to epb? What do you prefer? Cable and internet

I finally got pissed today when my charter service went out and I was told I would not have a tech out until Tuesday. I told them to cancel my tv service and I have dish coming out tomorrow to install. Amazing I get a dish tech the next day and charter with whom I have given 200 a month for years now can't get here for 3 days. F$?! Charter!!!!!!!

....ok I'm done ranting and am happy I'll no doubt have the sec network now and a much lower bill. :)

The SEC network needs Comcast/Time Warner and the rest of the providers as much and they need it. There is NO way they could pay out all this big money to the schools they have promised without them.

You can rest assured that Comcast and Time Warner will carry the SEC network, they are just negotiating the best price. Both parties involved want to make as much money as they can and the providers want to offer it to us their customers at the best price they can.
