SEC Position Rankings: WR/TE

I'd say our QB is a far more concern than our WR's. I think with the right QB this group is as good as any in the SEC. This ranking was by an Alabama homer I wouldn't make to much of it. The guys will play as well as the QB can get them the ball.

true freshman qb, not an ee, in a new system and throwing to Smith, Carter, and no TE the last part of the year. No TE the whole year really. Considering Butch's leading receiver at Cincy his last year was a TE, not having one hurt us.

I still insist people have no idea how difficult that had to be for the staff and players, especially when undermanned as we try to rebuild.

I like being undervalued at this time of year. I will bet one thing...the opposing coaches are not looking forward to guarding this WR/TE corps. Especially if the OL can protect.

I think we should have maybe been a little higher, but I'm in agreement that what bothers me most about this article is that the "O line this, Pig Howard playing or not that, and the failure to mention our other talented receivers. It's almost as if they focused entirely on the negative... shocker.

Our team isn't exactly the best right now. We are average to below average at almost every position. It's gonna take another year or 2 before we are in the top half of the rankings.

What I meant was the "rankings" suck, and whoever made them up.

I somewhat agree with you, but I think we'll be a little better than what most of these prognosticators think. All of the teams on our schedule lost key players too. Yes the schedule is brutal, hence all of the low expectations, guess it all depends on how fast we can improve in the trenches along the way.

We have the top receivers in the country...they just need to go out and prove it. I have faith they will. #WRU

Who is this TE, Cameron Clear, that A&M is sporting. The name sounds familiar...

I think they forgot that players like Smith, Croom, Johnson Young have all caught passes on this team. They also forgot that we have 2 good EE TEsand 2 good WR that came in as well. And let's not forget that 4* walk on as well. And we have players like Jenkins as well that could contribute. They must have been asleep on this one.

Oh well, time for the WR to take this personally and show the SEC that we have 1 of the top WR/TE corp.

None of them have produced really. Croom is the best with 269 career yards and one game with 3 catches and the rest 1 or 2. The others haven't played. The teams ahead of us have 4 and 5 stars too but they have actually played and produced. If they made a list of most potential we would be a lot higher. This list is based on production mostly.
