SEC Power Ranking

Good compared to the rest of the SEC. I'm sure you were saying the same thing last year when they nearly beat us twice.

about the only thing that has changed my mind about Kentucky is that they may finish 3rd in the east instead of 4th due to the fact that Florida sucks

So the fact that they have the best big man in the conference and the most explosive scorer doesn't worry you at all? Not to much more athleticism than last year... just less experience... and its Billy G's second year... and the fact they play good defense.

If players like Darius Miller, Harrellson, and Galloway play more like they were expected to - they will be a serious threat to win the SEC. Liggins is always improving and you can count on players like Stevenson and Harris to be solid contributors.

I just think its very funny that hat has convinced everyone on here that Kentucky is good

I still have yet to read anything by that guy that warrants the respect he gets, as though his terse grumbley pronouncements were manna from some whiskey-soaked heaven.

My praise for kentucky comes from other areas, all of which point to a successful team:

1) I'm willing to excuse the VMI loss as every decent team has at least 1 of these so far this year(I'll spare the boring list), and the losses to UNC, LOUSVILLE, and MIAMI are all 'good' losses, as the saying goes.

2) This is a team that has defeated West Virginia and Kansas State, perhaps two of the more undervalued teams in college ball this season.

3) This team is top 20 in effective O FG% AND D FG%. Those two stats correalate the most with overall wins. That's gonna show come march.

4) They shoot an incredible FT percentage. Top 10 nationally. They also get to the line a great deal. A deadly combo.

5) The emergence of Perry Stevenson on the glass.

6) Please read: 3) again and memorize it, it deserves to be on this list at least 9 times but I don't want to bore you.

#3 is like the opposite of Vandy football this year. 5-0 but ranked last in offense and defense in the SEC. Anyone paying attention could see the losing coming. I can see the opposite being true for KY.

I think the SEC is just messed up this year, there are no good teams, so much for Arkansas being on top.

I really think SC has got a good shot to win some games in the SEC this year. Just got a good win over Auburn 68-56, next up is LSU on the road, they haven't played anyone good except for Texas AM who they lost to and they got slaughterd by Utah:crazy: 91-61. I think the cocks can go to Baton Rouge and steal a win, next is the almighty tennessee volunteers. The way you guys are playing right now, I have to think USC has a good shot to knock of the vols. If we can beat you guys, watch out I don't see us losing to anyone except maybe UK, UT, and maybe FLA. We always seem to take care of the west teams, we always beat miss st, ole miss, and beat arky about ahlf and half. Go cocks

Enjoy the kool-aid. SC is not a good basketball team, neither is anybody else in the SEC.
