SEC Predictions

Am I dreaming this or did I see that it is basically impossible for Georgia not to have walkons in their 2 deep secondary after all their dismissals and injuries? We all know how well that works if true.

It will make the East more interesting but UGA should be able to score virtually at will. Besides the UT game, UGA v Clemson is one I'm really looking forward to. We'll see pretty early what they've got. USCe v TAM is another one... I honestly think TAM wins that one.

I think Mizzu will be better than people think just because of their QB, FL will be worse because of their QB and a completely new offense. I find it funny how no one is thinking this will be a tough transition for them.

My opinion of Mizzou's season:

W- SDSU- big win over homecoming fodder
W- @ Toledo- Toledo played them tough last year but couldn't handle MU's WR's. I think MU begins to be exposed in this one but will probably win by the hair of their chinny, chin, chin.
L- UCF. Better team than USU or Ark St. They probably have more talent than MU also.
W- Close but MU gets what they wanted by scheduling a lightweight Big10 opponent.
L- @USCe- painful day for Mauk in Columbia south.
L- UGA- Dawgs romp in revenge game.
L- @ UF- See above. Not enough talent to stick with the Gators.
W- Vandy- homefield the difference in the battle of teams who have fallen the hardest
W- UK- Cats still don't have enough but are closer than before.
L- @TAM- Both teams lose the guys who made last year's game exciting... MU loses more.
L- @UT- UT has thin spots... Mizzou is a thin spot. If they have injuries then UT's revenge could be extra sweet.
W- Arkansas- MU limps to the finish line but manages to become bowl eligible only because of a weak schedule.

Their likely range is 5-7 to 7-5. If they have injuries ANYWHERE then it could get truly ugly with losses to both Vandy and UK.

I think Mizzu will be better than people think just because of their QB,
What impresses you about him other than the media praising him without specifics? In 4 starts he was under 50% 3 times including vs UT. That was WITH 3 elite WR's... who are now gone and will not be replaced in kind. They lost their best two OL's including their LT who was best by far.

FL will be worse because of their QB and a completely new offense. I find it funny how no one is thinking this will be a tough transition for them.

I think most of us just don't think it can be much worse than it has been... we could be wrong. Pease was a pretty good OC... before arriving at UF. Weis has nothing to prove as an OC. Talent is never a real issue at UF... yet the Gators haven't been better than 10th in the SEC in total O since Muschamp arrived. In 2007-2009 they were first in the SEC under Meyer.

The problem.... probably isn't the OC.
