I like the idea of each SEC team having to actually play a worthy opponent. No more cupcakes for all four OOC games (Im looking at you Alabama, Ms. State and Vanderbilt).

Florida-Florida St
South Carolina-Clemson
Kentucky-Louisville
Georgia-Georgia Tech
Bama, UT, and LSU (lately) usually schedule at least one solid OOC.
So that leaves, TAMU, OM, MSU, Mizzou, Ark, AU, and Vandy.
I wouldn't mind setting up a permanent deal with Va Tech starting with the Bristol game.
Vandy will now be scrambling to schedule Indiana, Kansas, Purdue, and Washington St.
Well, let's take a look at Alabama's schedule this year. The Crimson tide's toughest OOC game comes against an opponent (WVU) who had previously gone 4-8 the year before, with half of their wins coming against FCS programs. The others are as follows- Florida Atlantic, Southern Miss and Western Carolina who combined for an astounding 9-27 record. Couple that with the fact that Alabama consistently plays one of the overall weakest schedules in the SEC year in and year out and it makes it look even worse.2007: Florida State in Jacksonville
2008: Clemson in Atlanta
2009: Virginia Tech in Atlanta
2010: Penn State
2011: @ Penn State
2012: Michigan in Dallas
2013: Virginia Tech in Atlanta
2014: West Virginia in Atlanta
2015: Wisconsin in Dallas
If those are "cupcakes", I'd like you to tell me who you think Alabama should be scheduling in order to beef up their SOS. Should Bama schedule a home-and-home with the New England Patriots?
Alabama has played a non-conference game against a, usually ranked, BCS conference school every year that Saban has been there. Vanderbilt deserves all of the **** you can give them though.
I was referring to each teams' upcoming schedule this year, but people took it like I meant each and every season.

Alabama's OOC opponents win % is only .271, the worst in the SEC. Alabama's opponents win-loss record for 2014 is also the worst in the SEC, standing at 71-79.
So yes, Alabama does indeed play lots of cupcakes.
Bama is playing three cupcakes. Guess who else does that... every team in the SEC, with maybe one or two exceptions.
You can knock on Bama taking on WVU, but when that game was scheduled, they were coming off a conference title and a 40-point win in a BCS bowl. Is it Bama's fault that WVU went in the crapper?
Bama doesn't set their conference slate any more than Tennessee does. The SEC even went out of their way to shift Florida back onto Bama's schedule early in order to keep LSU from pissing and moaning. UF was coming off an 11-2 season when the 2014 schedule was announced. Once again, do you think it's Bama's fault that Florida went in the crapper?
Please, whenever you find it convenient, feel free to stop talking out of your rear end.

That still doesn't change the fact that West Virginia is a terrible football team. Other than Vanderbilt, and perhaps Mississippi State, Alabama has the weakest OOC schedule in the SEC and the weakest overall. Just the way it is.
