For those that don’t get the Aaron Judge thing because they were at the game, apparently they kept cutting away from the college football games to show Aaron Judge at bat for the Yankees. He was about to break some record or something. People were not happy.

Especially because his at-bats kept being duds, so they would show the next at-bat, over and over. Hence the “Who gives a…” 😂

I had to have a buddy explain it to me. But that’s hilarious.

Tony Vitello gets it. Aaron Judge about to tie the non PED single season home run record. They similarly cut in when McGuire was breaking it. Bonds...........not so much. For the test, Albert Pujols hit his 700th career home run to become one of 4 MLB'ers with 700 home runs (Bonds, Aaron, Babe, Pujols) and Judge became the 5th to hit 61 dingers in a season, but only the second without the clear or the cream (Bonds, McGuire, Sosa, Maris, Judge). What ESPN is celebrating is the chase of the Yankees single season home run leader (tied at 61 with Judge and Maris).

For the people that don’t know and love baseball, Aaron Judge is sitting on 60 home runs and trying to tie/break the American League home run record set by Roger Maris in 1961. He’s also on the verge of winning the Triple Crown (leading his league in batting average, home runs, and runs batted in). It’s kind of an important deal in the world of sports.

Worst part about it is he isn’t about to break a MLB record. It’s 73 and he’s at 60 (well I guess if AL records are important to you then he’s doing something). It’s mostly a drummed up media thing because he’s a Yankee and trying to inject life into a slowly fading spectator sport.

Actually a lot of us still consider 61 to be the record since all the others were juiced up.

I hope the Yankees win 120 games every season and lose in the first round. I hope the red Sox finish in last.
