The issue with this team isn't effort. I think all the players are really putting in the effort (although defense made me question that on some of those early drives).

I think it is confidence. You can have "over effort" or "nerves" that get in your way. Yelling or pushing them to be more "focused" doesn't work in those instances.

Out of that talented WR room there has to be a few guys that can consistently catch the football. Bru is about the most dependable one at this point.

I am pretty confident, watching them, that Squirrel White and Bru McCoy have been playing injured most of the time. This is why Bru has mostly been a short passing receiver (I haven't seen him catch a downfield pass since the Hendon Hooker era).

Thornton was not healthy last year but seems to be doing well this year. Nimrod had some bad drops, he gets open but has misses. Not sure what the story is with why Mike Matthews isn't in the rotation.

He’s a true freshman. They’re just now starting to work him into the lineup.

Agree but with the injuries and struggles (again I don't think it is an effort issue), it probably wouldn't hurt.

Despite the drops, I think we will be fine. I have seen many of these WRs perform in the past and I am sure they can do it again.
