SEC Shorts - Tennessee in Detention

Vandy's HC will probably be coaching an actual D-1 program next year.

The variable being that Clark Lea is a Vandy alumni. Not sure how that will factor into his decision

He was also theoretically on the hot seat at the beginning of the season. At least per the preseason rags

I could see Florida eyeballing him.
I keep saying it. Vandy fans need to hope they finish 1-2 if they have any hope of keeping Lea. If he goes 8-5 while beating Bama and LSU or UT, he gone. I don't care if he is a Vandy alumni. Someone is gonna pay him 9 million a year and actually give him a legit shot a natty.

I think Lea leaves and takes him with along.
No one wants Lea. He was a disaster before he brought in the offensive coaches from NM St. People will be looking at offensive coaches. However, a lot of this has to do with catching lightning in a bottle. When Paris is gone, Vandy will return to normal.

Subtle notes that are funny: Tua jersey for Bama; Hedge book for USC jr.; construction worker driving Vandy’s vehicle.

Great writing…

I was disappointed that there wasn’t more of the Vandy Pimp.
Me too. I'm just loving Papa Pimp Vandy. I hope they keep winning, except against us.

Note: Those thinking once Paris leaves, Vandy returns to Candy -MAYBE. I think if Lea loses his coordinators, his QB, he will repeat his choises. Choices? Yes, he will dip into other lower tier programs again. Why? Places where coaches run gimmicky, offbeat plays. Stuff that's atypical of SEC ball. Catch a few more SEC programs off guard for this type of stuff before they get wise to it. Have at least 1–2 more seasons of marginal success.

I agree. They're a solid team and it's not just Pavia. Someone will pay the man. The job he's done is far more impressive than anything Franklin did there.

Won’t be quite so dynamic w/o surprise really good qb next year. Don’t think he leaves but if he does he better go this year

Debatable. Franklin had them ranked in consecutive seasons and went to three straight bowl games. Let’s see if Lea can do this for multiple seasons.
