SEC should get rid of Ole Miss and Mississippi State?

It's just a hypothetical. Nobody is saying we really should.

So every conference with historically weak programs should cut them off completely and only let strong programs be a part of it? Do you want the Royals to drop out of the AL Central? How about the Pirates get the hell out of the NL Central while we're at it.

Again, relax. It's a simple what if thread.

Yeah let's just up and get rid of two of the SECs founding member Universities. Idiot. On top of that we should, as THE best conference in the country, follow the example of other conferences rather than do our own thing.

One of the dumbest things I've heard today. Ok so Mississippi State hasn't done much on the football side, but they have a solid baseball program and a competitive basketball team that nine out of ten times will be in the NCAA tournament. Ole Miss is steeped in tradition even if it's been a while since they've won a championship, you can't ignore what they've meant to the SEC historically.

Back in the day I was pretty fast. Now that I'm married and put on 20 pounds I sometimes have to beat out a single to right field.

I'm sure you and your wife play in a very competitive co-ed softball league.

Do we need a sarcasm smiley?

Come on now, it's the Atlanta MABL son! Atlanta Men's Adult BASEBALL League! This 27 year old plays in the 18 and over league rather than the 25 and over. Give me some credit! :hi:

Every conference needs their doormats. I'm guessing that this writer's knowledge of college football only goes back 20 years.

If they were going to get rid of two it should be Vandy and one of the Mississippi schools.

False. Both MS schools make (by far) the least amount of money when it comes to athletic departments.

This. Without a doubt.
