I think LSU is out unless they get to the SEC tourney championship. They are 16-11 and still have to play on the road at UK and Arkansas, plus have UF at home.

I think that UK, A&M, and USCe are in and if UF goes 3-1 and gets to 20 they are in also..but I also don't see any SEC team getting higher than a 4 seed.

ESPN has Vanderbilt atop its first four out after today's win against UGA...so it sounds like they're in the discussion as well.

Right now it would be UK, A&M, South Carolina,& Florida. LSU & Vandy are on the outside looking in right now. It would take an awful lot to happen for both of these teams to make the NCAA tourney. Vandy will probably have to win the SEC tourney while LSU make it to the championship game at least.

It's a shame for LSU with a talent like Ben Simmons on its team but they just haven't done enough. Getting blown out today by our Vols knocked a hard blow to them. Vandy has enough talent but they just have never had that team chemistry this season.

Yeah and Simmons seems hurt so I wouldn't see them going to UK or Arky and getting wins

I wrote the original post on 02/20 and as of now the SEC is forecast to get the above teams in the NCAA..UK is a 3, Aggies get a 4, and USCe a 11

3. How many SEC teams belong in the NCAA tournament field?

Katz: Texas A&M and Kentucky. The question is will it be South Carolina or Vanderbilt after that.

O'Neil: Two. Texas A&M and Kentucky. No one else has done enough to merit an at-large bid.

Medcalf: Two. Kentucky and Texas A&M. South Carolina went 0-3 against Georgia this season and also lost at Tennessee and Missouri. Vandy doesn't have a convincing argument, either.

Daily Word: Which teams have the most to worry about on Selection Sunday?

I'd laugh if the SEC only got 2. I still think they'll throw SC in as an 11 and in the "opening round" games, but I don't think they really deserve a bid. Vandy doesn't deserve one either.

I think So Car or Vandy will squeak in. Probably So Car. The only really good teams Vandy beat were A & M and Ky and they were at home. They beat no one in the field on the road.

Vandy just doesn't have near enough resume to get in IMO. RPI is 60, only 2 Top 50 wins iirc, awful road record, 13 total losses. They might get in, but they definitely should not.

I say only 2. The NCAA selection committee has not been giving SEC teams any breaks in recent years. Remember we had to play in the First Four with an RPI of 32 in 2014? I don't think SC gets a bid.

Wonder if Frank Martin regrets leaving what he had at K State yet?

I can't believe Vandy got in. That is hard to figure. CBS is going to milk this all way to 7 pm aren't they? Ridiculous.
