I used to work for Stryker Orthopaedics... It's amazing what the new technology has meant to joint replacement in the past decade. As long as the Doc is good it should be a very routine procedure. Hope your Dad's rehab goes smoothly and he back on his feet soon! My Dad is having open heart tomorrow morning @ St. Mary's t replace an aortic valve. Again... it sounds like a big deal but with the latest advances it has become a very routine deal.
