SEC Tournament, Round 1, LSU vs. Tennessee Official Game Thread

6 total assists for a game is horrible compared to 17 turnovers, and suprisingly Hopson had 4 of those assists

Liked the way Chism(got a double double) and Brian/J.P, played no one else. 4-23 of threes and 19-52 from the field. We were 17-24(70.8) of free throws. luckily we were playing LSU. Hopefully this game is an eye-opener for the team, and we buckle down for Ole Miss

The game's tied 30-30, I stop watching the game for about 5-10 minutes to fold some laundry, and then when I turn it back on, we're up by 12. After I turn it back on, LSU goes on a 5-0 run to cut it to a 7 point lead.

I think I should just not watch the games

:p

On a serious note, UT played one of their worst games of the season, and only need one significant run (16-4)to win this game. That's how terrible LSU is. Any other team would've beaten us by 15 today. Definitely need to step it up tomorrow if we want a shot at a 3 seed.
Coach should let the guys watch a tape of the Grizzlies stomping the Celtics last night. That's how to play Tennessee style basketball.

Every Tennessee player interviewed is blaming the rims for being too tight. Everyone plays on the same rims... man up and play. Stop looking for excuses.

It sounds like a legit point if what they are saying is true. I've played on some crappy rims that were heavy duty. There was no give when the ball hit the rim. You had to hit nothing but net or it wasn't going down. Everyone shot worse on those hoops. So, I have no problem with what the players are saying. It's not often you play on rims with no give. Both teams may being playing with the same rims but it benefits the underdog. Kind of like a football game in mud. If you're not scoring, it's hard to go on a run. I'd rather see a high scoring game if I'm the better team.

This is what my husband says too. It seems that everytime he watches the game we start playing bad. I've told him to please not watch, and luckily for us he hasn't watched too much this season. He'll usualy only come and watch the game if we are for sure winning and there is only a minute or two left in the game. :p

I didn't watch the last two games but I heard after the first 2 all 4 teams were 12/56 from 3.

Just sayin.

If the shooting is going to be tough, it is going to be even more important for us to take it to the hoop inside.

Isn't Ole Miss' strength their guard play? I think we should have an advantage around the rim with Chism, B Williams, Prince, and Hopson...

No. But there are a few that could beat the Lady Vols WNBA teams.

There are several high school teams that I would put my money behind in a neutral-court game against LSU.

I have no idea what "Lady Vols WNBA teams" means, but any above average high school basketball team would beat a WNBA team. There are way more than "a few" of those.
