I believe his logic was probably that a Miss St loss frees up another bubble spot.

My opinion is more of an anti NCAA mind set that isn't about finding the best team in the country. It's about rewarding teams from several conferences for having good seasons.
The entire NCAA college basketball format and tournament system needs to be scrapped and rebuilt.
And F*** the tradition.
I'd like to see the best 195 teams play.
Divide the conferences up like the high school format.
A, B and C or whatever.
High majors , mid majors and low majors.
Scrap the NIT and have 3 65 team tournaments.
Then let the winner of each division have a Super bowl of college teams.
More money. More competitive games. And you find out who really is the best.

Miss st is one bad loss away from being out just like Texas seton hall and northwestern.

Once one of them losses we are in the field and it becomes our spot to lose.
